It’s usually in the top 20 of the diamond charts but it rarely touches the top 10. The only other female book aside from x-men that’s been selling well has been Harley Quinn.
Not sure why people are seriously asking why she’s named Thor and not something else.
She’s named Thor, and not something else, because
THOR
Fucking THOR
Marketing: Thor is an established name, and much more likely to sell.
Creative: Toying with the idea of Thor, THE fucking Thor, in a woman’s body is new and intriguing narrative territory.
Like I know I set up a tear bucket, but fuck guys, I only have so many buckets.
You know Thor’s been trapped in a woman’s body before right? It was right after they created a hammer for his alien buddy Ben Billy something. After which event, he was fighting Thor girl or the like then his daddy showed passed and seeing the fake Thor girl decided to turn Thor into a woman to teach him lesson.
WW is easily the best thing out of the new 52 and takes full advantage of the reboot. The series basically delivered on what the new 52 promised which is a fresh and innovate take on a established character. Contrary to the other comics in the new 52 which essentially continued the ideas and tones of their pre-52 counterparts.
Thor is a dudes name tho not a title, is she at least gonna be lesbian? This whole thing is a bunch of nonsense man whoever thinks this is a good idea needs 2 in the head point blank
Bet Stark hits on her like first issue first page. By issue 2 her new name will be Thunder Thighs or some messed up name to refer to Stark tapping that.
Even though it’s totally appealing to authority and basically LoyalSol-ing my way out of this: I’m a professional writer by day and I’ve put entirely too much work and dream-chasing into screenwriting and novel writing by night. And yes, I believe that plenty of writers (many who get paid for their creative work that I’ve conversed with) will say that, and mean it.
You believe otherwise… why exactly? Other than you generally being you.
When I typed up my ghetto-speak in the original post, I was making fun of shit like this.
Some from past jobs for software that doesn’t exist anymore. Current job’s works are confidential.
It’s not lazy. It’s the opposite of lazy; it requires you to approach that character’s nuances and conflicts in a whole new way. What’s “lazy” is keeping shit stagnant.
I reciprocate shit slinging. If you’re not interested, don’t start crap.
Thor is a girl now, she shows up at things must “prove her worth” because of the patriarchy and in the modern world she finds a man and falls in love and gets hit on by Tony Stark. Am I a professional yet?
