Completely new to Marvel and was trying to get some basic combos down.
Whenever I try and do
s. fk (launch), sj. lp, sj. lp xx FAST FLY, f. lk + Commando, f. fp xx fp Rocket Punch
I can’t get the Commando assist to combo. Should I be hitting qcb + kk + commando (as soon as I fast fly)?
Also, any other bnb sentinel combos I should be practicing? TY!
no, you’re doing it right. its after you fly, press lk+capcom fp, rocket punch
try to do 1 or 2 hits before flying, rather than the complete magic series
Also, after you activate flight, you need to tap any direction in order to “cancel” out of “flight stun,” if you will.
If you try to do a fast fly combo without tapping a direction before you hit lk+CapCom, then you won’t get the combo.
I prefer to tap up or back. You should probably try back first.
more importantly…you need to go to neutral first, and then tap. you might’ve been implying it when you said “tap” but I’m sure he wouldn’t know that if you were.

the tapping a direction thing only works with sentinel
and doom
what do you mean? it works with other flyers AFAICanTell. helps when doing IM’s and Doom’s refly infinites.

Nah, I tried it years ago with my program pads.
Tapping a direction doesn’t **cut the wait animation **for Doom/War Machine/ Iron Man, it HELPS them do combos, but it’s not like it is with Sentinel where it’s necessary.

i’m gonna go scrub it up with the IM refly infinite now.
I’m probably going to replace a lot of the pages with the videos from joo’s dvd. they’re really thorough and full of all kinds of information most people dont’ know.

Little known secret, you can fast fly with the assist button as well. You can do fly, press assist button and not move and still be able to fast fly your move.
That’s why sometimes it’s easier to fast fly an assist combo, then just do sj lk ff lk mk rocket punch for beginners.
