Marvel 3 team question! I like Dormammu, I like Haggar, I’m thinking about dropping Sentinel (no longer OP enough). Is that stupid? I don’t see a lot of Dormammu or Haggar on youtube, so maybe I should scrap the whole team. I’m still trying to settle this before I start practicing in any real way. Who do you guys play and why? I’m using Dormammu on point for his zoning and easy OTGs, Haggar for his assist and because I get to hit people with pipes, and Sent because it’s Sent.

I use to hold game nights in Dieppe, but due to a space issues and a few people gone studying abroad I have not had much luck lately. I’m down to only two cabs and a console set up so stuff is pretty limiting. If gamezilla pans out I might make my way towards Mountain Rd.
Dormammu and Haggar are both very popular characters. Not to the point of Akuma, Wesker, Wolverine and Magneto, but still very popular characters in high level play. Filipino Champ and Ryan Hunter both use dormammu, Viscant and a few others that are slipping my mind use Haggar. The problem with running dorm/haggar is that the current strength of the haggar assist is that it causes a hard knockdown. This means that they stay on the ground for a little while and you can otg into a full combo. The only thing Dorm can otg into without an assist (you won’t be able to call an assist because haggar would have just been called) is pillar into hyper. Haggar is much better with characters like Wesker, Sent, Dante, She Hulk or Ammy.
Running Dorm and Haggar would still work if you are completely opposed to Sent by replacing him with Akuma or a character with a beam assist. Otherwise, those two characters are going to have a really hard time getting in. (Or, if you are running haggar last like you should, well, dorm still needs a beam or long lasting ranged assist.)

I’m stuck playing my complimentary copy of AE (Praise capcom cause i’d be screwed without it) till i get my xbox back from regina.
Also motorack just moved to hali earlier this month and we played a LOT so i’m feeling deprived.
All training room and no matches makes ryu a dull boy.
I’m getting AE on PC as soon as I can - hopefully early October. Assuming I can get my damn TE to work in windows, MAME hates it. (If anybody else wants to go in on that Steam 4-pack let me know, the savings aren’t much but it’s better than nothing.)

Yea steam and GFWL. I usually would have only bought the costumes for the characters i play, but for $15 what the hell.
Sometimes i play fei just to see his alt 3 in motion. Probably the sickest costume in the game.
I kind of want AE for PC. Even if it’s just for simple training mode stuff, lot easier for me seeming how my PC is always on. Then again, that would actually mean that I think AE is a good game. And I don’t, haha.
Off topic, but I think the vulcan cannon in Gear of War 3 might have the best weapon sound effect set of all time. God damn.
Ugh. I can’t wait to play that game. I’m so trash at shooters especially using dual analog. It’s gonna get messy lol.
