I think it would be in the best interest of the event that you just post it now regardless with the following:
Name of your event
Location and address
Date and time
Entry fee
Pot split (no not marijuana)

Street Fighter IV Tourney
Loctaion: GameZilla Saint John, NB
When: May 30th/09
Start: 12.:00 pm
Cost: $20.00
Prizes:
1st - 90% of entries.
Format:
Each Round will be a best of 5 between players
Pairing will be a swiss pairing structure
3 losses and your out … we do a rounds until a winner is decided
The date has now been changed for the Gamezilla tournament to June 6th/09.
Also note that this will be on 360. I’ll probably drop some money on an adapter just so I’ll be able to use a PS2 controller haha.
You best option is to get used to a stick. They feel pretty much the same on either system. Then you can’t lose.
If you get a stick for your PS3 and put some play time in with that, you can use someone else’s 360 stick at the tournament and it should play the same. You can borrow mine if you want.
I’m interested in the tournament, but will sticks be available, or will we have to supply our own controller/be stuck with the 360 pad?
Also, 20$ entry fee and only 1st place gets anything? That seems odd, although not in a particularly negative way.
I think they will probably only use pads. However, I’ll be bringing a stick and anyone who wants to borrow it may do so.

I’ll try to be there, though the odds are slim, since Saint John is on the other side of the province for me (literally) and it’ll take 4 hours to get there by car…
And by the slim chance somebody replies, are spectators allowed in case I arrive too late to enter?
And can somebody confirm that the registration time is 12 Noon?
Spectators are welcome for sure. As for registration, I’m not sure. I think there was talk that we may not be starting until around 2 because a couple people are working or something.
I’m not sure how many people are showing up. Really this is just the warm up for the big New Brunswick vs Nova Scotia throwdown we’re having in Halifax next weekend.
You all should come down for that! Right now it’s like 10 NBers vs 30 NSers. We’re totally outnumbered!

Wow great turnout at the NS tourney this past weekend. Congratulations to the placers. If you know people that went to the tourney but aren’t on SRK please spread the word. The better the calibre of player, the better for your community. Again looked to be a great tournament.
