work…that gets in the way of games. I think we should cancel work and continue with the games! *had to go to Hali to play baseball and missed the fight for infinity…I swear I come home and can’t get out of here…cape breton is like quicksand or something. *
I dug out my Dreamcast stuff (it was packed away during the basement renovation) and found a copy of Powerstone 2. It is the US release, too. I don’t remember buying it. 
Oh well, I’ll bring it on Monday.
Fight for Infinity ended up being about half the size that was “expected.” Only 3 people from NS showed up, 1 guy from moncton, and the regular locals who meet up once a week. Probably no more than 15 people total. Kind of disappointing. :\
We did SF4 and KOF12 tourneys. Adrian won SF4 and Chris won KOF. Nobody really knew what they were doing in KOF either since I got 2nd and have only played the game a couple times. Every other game was played casually since they were never many people around at any given time. I was hoping for more HDR and 3S.

After a few hours practice with Gen after the tournament, I think I would’v done better against Adrian but ah well.
I’m just so happy I have s.Mp > s.Mk > Hands > s.Mk > Hands with Gen down pat…

that really sucks. I wanted to go down for the FFI. I had it all planned out, but I also made a commitment to baseball…I couldn’t break that as I was one of 11 players who had to go. The silver lining was that I was the best player on the team…the sad thing is that there were only a few players at the fight.
I know I’m making next one, that one is for sure. course, I had to quit my job currently, I’ll have to grab another one before I can go down there lol.
All arcade games are now at LGS Halifax. MvC2 is there running in VGA. Pretty sweet set up for fighting game fans.

Hmm I wonder if they just cut and paste the Evo rules I gave them a link to read over…I did totally mention that Chars for each console have to be unlocked ahead of time when I exchanged the 2 emails with them they replied to…so hopefully thats not an issue. But I do have a semi interest if I can get my questions answered

I am the guy who replied on that thread. I’m guessing that they mean spamming fireballs or just doing the same move repeatedly with any character. I don’t see why this is frowned upon. Part of Gouken’s game (granted, I’m not that good at it) is zoning with his angled fireballs. This kind of thing goes for lots of characters.
I also agree with the 3/5 one match comment… I would prefer 2/3 rounds per game and then 2/3 games per match… or however you want to say it… like it was at the last LGS tourney.
yeah any projectile for each char they are designed for makes for its part of there overall game…so we would need a confirm…and that 1 round I reallly hope it a typo…
oh also what kinda TVs makes and model wil they have…lagged tvs makes me sad.
Well, even if it is “frowned upon”, you can still play how you want.
I think it is possible that you may have some luck on giving them advice on rules and how it is run… eg. the number of rounds, but I think you would be pressing your luck with the TV thing… haha.
