After playing for 3 hours or so straight I always get up feeling lightheaded with a headache. It takes a good 15 minutes for me to recuperate. My hands are all shaky and I feel hot.
I guess it’s the level of concentration required me to play at a high level. I can’t think of any other game, or anything at all really that compares to it. Maybe online Marvel would be similar.
Also, this game makes me sweat. No other game can do that.
Yes, but not about ST or HDR, only because I don’t play at a very high level (yet?). Starcraft is the game that does this for me. I can only play a couple games before I’m exhausted, both physically and mentally. Performing nearly 300 actions per minute for a straight hour is honestly very draining. Not to mention all the complex thought while doing everything instinctively (if that makes sense). I also sweat while playing a good player or I’m about to make an ingenious play. I love Starcraft.
Well, actually, a few times I’ve felt this way about ST. But only when I’m playing someone I know I’m not just going to be able to bnb combo to death.
I agree. ST wears me out faster than pretty much any other game I can think of. I have to be careful because I will play 12 hours straight, which leaves me ruined for a few days. I actually did this 3 days straight when I finally installed GGPo. Three days straight, 8-12 hours. I was messed for work and when I tried to play after work on monday I could barely move my thumb…lol.
Game actually makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. I love that.
ST is the most mentally intense game fighting game I’ve ever played, and I think that’s why I like it so much. There are so many mindgames, so much stress, so much pressure… ahhh, it sounds like a good time to me.
(You could also describe a trainwreck relationship with that same list of traits, I suppose.)
It’s quite the opposite, ST is the game that i can play the longest.
A3 on the other hand, after less than 1 hour i’m left completely unable to perform shit and either have to switch to a super easy character or stop playing. The game is daunting.
hahah me too. I played waaaayyyy too much yesterday. I was getting a headahce and I swear the room started spinning. That’s my cue to chill the fuck out. Plus i get stressed as hell playing this online. From the life bar glitches to the lag and other bugs…ugh…
I can’t play this game long sessions… Because if I do, I’m going to either end up breaking my stick, breaking my ps3, or breaking my TV because I get frequent random disconnects like no other.
LoL I think this damn game has diagnosed me with seriously high blood pressure. I get the shakes, redface, anger mismanagement… all that stuff. But I think it’s like this with most online fighters. The lag makes you want to blow a fews lol. and This game is the mother of bugz/lag… christ, but for some reason I can 't stop playing… Crack is nicer.
I’m thinking about giving STHD a break for a day or two… or three… maybe. Everytime I finish playing I have this sharp pain in both arms that extends from my wrist to my elbow. I can’t afford to have these aches and pains in my arms because of my job. I’m thinking I will designate certain days of the week when I play STHD, but I agree this game is some new shit Capcom got us hooked on.
Age of empires 1 does this to me REALLY bad. Those games last loads longer than SC too which makes it even worse. dancing ca / expanding / rebuilding farms / shuffling siege / repairing boats and more all while trying to tranny over and stay economically ahead for 1 1/2 hour+ kills me. i also sweat when playing this game against top players i loveeeeeeeeeee age and always will <3
st doesnt do it so much to me since the matches are so fast and rapid.
I get stressed when I’m playing with anyone but Zangief. The other matches aggravate me to no end. I get tense and sweat slightly. But when I’m playing with Gief its the complete opposite. I just walk towards my the other guy and do my thing. No stress no nothing… and Gief ain’t even my main.
damn man I can’t sit still for 3 hours, lol at 12hrs …seriously thats aweful shouldnt be proud of that, get out and kick a ball around or something lol
I’ve always had the opposite relationship with videogames. Real life stresses me out and I turn to videogames as a stress reducer. Even fighting games are relaxing for me. Of course, I’m in the middle of 2 weeks of finals so just about everything that isn’t studying or taking a test is better than what I’m spending most of the day doing.
