That’s not what I said. I said man A wasn’t minding his own business, then man B wasn’t minding his own business. Then man A punches man B and you say it’s justified because man B wasn’t minding his own business?
No matter what I say about black people, others want to paint me as a racist. I’m really not. I lived in both poor white neighborhoods and poor black neighborhoods. By and far the most dangerous ones were the black neighborhoods. From New York to San Francisco, it was the same story. And it happens within their own community. Why would you want to hurt your neighbor? Wouldn’t it be better to build up your neighborhood so it prospers? I’ve only seen this happen in white neighborhoods where everyone is out there making the community better.
Not sure why people that think freedom of speech means you can say whatever you want without consequences still exist. High school government classes too hard I guess.
The only funny part is that you came into a Specs thread hoping to be “entertained”…
What the fuck is that in your av man? Tell the woman to put a shirt on because she is just begging to be raped by a pack of those guys that @raz0r doesn’t like but sometimes has to buy drugs from, if they aren’t too sketchy…
Honestly man, you’re bringing up a LOT of strawman shit that has nothing at all to do with the topic at hand.
RE: the Tweets. Yes, I took the time and read many of them in the feed, not just the popular ones. Some of the stories were pretty messed up. But do you know how else I know this happens? Because I’ve seen it. I’ve made my living for the past several years playing in bars and clubs all over the country from tiny little hick towns to big cities and I’ve watched some of this stuff like the groping, harassment, etc. happen with my own eyes. I go out regularly and I also have a lot of female friends and have dated a lot of women, most of whom have a story or two much like some of the things I read on the Twitter feed. It was positively shocking to me over the years how many women I interacted with on the daily that had been raped much less had some guy grope them, catcall them, or threaten them in some way. So for you to act like rape/harassment/catlling/etc is just some tinfoil hat theory that women all got together and cooked up to get back at men is just fucking disingenuous and makes you sound like an idiot.
-ONE IN FIVE. That’s 20% of women vs. 1 in 71 men (or 1 in 33 depending on who you ask) who will be raped.
-In 2013, the Census Bureau found that 50.8% of the US population of 316 million were women.
-If we’re to take the Times article at face value (and I used the calculator right), that’s over 32 million women that have been rape victims during the course of their lives.
-The article also says that of those surveyed, 1% had been raped in the last year which suggests a figure of 1.3 million according to the survey.
-Those were just the ones willing to talk about it. You know that whole “there’s nothing wrong, I’m fine” act a lot of women do? Well, I’m sure that extends to this topic. So 20% might actually even be a bit low, and this is ONLY rape we’re talking about, not any of the other behaviors.
-And just for the sake of comparison, let’s take your strawman about men being victims of violence. According to this: http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/bvvc.pdf even in the early 90s at the peak of their victimization, black men, the majority victims of violent crime were only being victimized at a rate of roughly 70 per 1000, which, while still not good, isn’t even 10%. And the numbers have reduced drastically since then.
Still think it’s all made up and that it’s just a bunch of angry sexist women?
