I disagree. There is a certain minimum quality of life humans should have to make it all worthwhile. Once you go below that, there is little point to it all and it becomes a mockery.
Ex: When you’re permanently disabled or hindered in some fashion and can’t do things under your own power, not even wipe your own ass, then yeah…it might be time to hang it up.
Its all about quality of life. Living for the sake of living is just is not that important on its own. Not if its going to be spent being miserable, lacking so much, and without dignity.
Now there are some people out there who indeed live out their whole lives with severe issues, being blinded, crippled in accidents, savagely disfigured, etc. All i can say to that is…they wouldn’t be the first out there to settle for a mediocre existence so far below that of what human life should be. That doesn’t mean everyone else in that situation has to do so as well.
