I find it interesting that someone would off themselves because they were satisfied with their life. Normally, people do it when they give in to despair or if they’re sick, not when everything’s cool. It makes me wonder how many more people in the world are like this guy.
Personally, I don’t want to live for a long time; I don’t see the point in living to be over 100 years old. But I wouldn’t kill myself just to ensure that my life is kept short. I certainly wouldn’t kill myself if life was great. It’s baffling that this guy did it, but at the same time it’s fascinating that there are people who would even consider it. When people say that they could “die happy if X happened,” they usually don’t mean they’re going to jump off a bridge with a look of satisfaction on their face.
if the reason of taking away your life is that you’ve done everything you’ve wanted to do, then how do you know that what you want to do is only the things you know of? what if you discovered new interesting things, wouldn’t you want to do them?

It’s a non-starter. He won’t have any knowledge of it so there’s no regret to be had. In that point in time, he was content and since there will be no future for him that’s all that matters. Anything that happens in the future isn’t even worth worrying about.
If you’re simple-minded enough to be pushed to kill yourself, you probably don’t have the mental capacity to put a square peg where it belongs. If you’re of sound mind and choose to kill yourself, that is your right and it is not “stupid.” You just don’t agree with it and want to rationalize why someone else’s sane, independent decision isn’t okay with you and thus shouldn’t be okay with anyone.

I find it fascinating that women are 3-5 times more likely than men to attempt suicide but men are far more likely to die from suicide. Women dont know how to do anything right, lol. just joking.
