Makoto Video Thread/Match Critiques

could be, i remember practicing the OS in training mode back when he first posted it & it was pretty difficult to do consistently

Arturo Sanchez favorited that VRyu vs Kusanagi video on Twitter, and here I am seeing what else is being said about that performance.

exactly
usually, i dont miss this against ryu! when i saw him jumping back, i was like “oh yeah baby, you’re gonna be hit”…and when i saw the karakusa coming out, i was like “:frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :(”

VRYU POST MORE VIDEOS!!

we demand more videos from you

But what the hell are you thinking?
Kusanagi94 is a friend! (i already knew (IRL) his father before kusanagi was born…).

that’s not a random 11 years old guy that I didnt respect…

I didn’t know about him before watching all the recent videos and didn’t know you knew each other personally.I apologize to you both for making those comments.

yes that was definitely his option-select it only works for back-dash neutral jump and forward jump…but since everyone is always crossing up it was worth it esp. w/ that poor punish

also vryu what kara strength do you use after a hayate cancel?

no, it works for backward jump, not forward jump. But i missed the input i guess.

Depends on distance. Usually LK karakusa

i saw another makoto that surprised me yesterday, he was tearing it up in an endless lobby i joined, his tag was jheuty.

Gimoto (Blanka player during SFIV) playing as Makoto.

Not jaw-droppingly impressive, but pretty cool. From the looks of it, players in Japan don’t seem to know the match-up very well.

I’d go so far as to say Gimoto won by pure luck in that first match. There were multiple times in the first round he could have closed it out but didn’t. And he screwed up karakusa with ultra to burn!

Some Vryu ! And damn, that’s just awesome.

thx

hahaha gainst yagami! When i did karakusa at the end, i was already thinking at what mixup i will do after my ultra. When i missed the timing, I was like WHAT THE FUCK!!! xDDD

Off Topic : Le Dhalsim il a été méchant quand même. En tout cas en tant que joueur de Makoto, je suis vachement impressioné.

Just saw this video today it’s Mok11bk vs some Dictator, I like his Tsurugi usage in this match.

@yagami:
i’ve beat him a lot more than him in freeplay :’(

but he’s clearly the strongest dhalsim of this tournament

Why do people constantly to ultra obvious safe jump setups that will never, ever work? Doesn’t that Dictator know that it’s obviously going to get blocked? I don’t get it. Still, good play from the Makoto. He had round 2 as well if he didn’t botch the punish.

Justin Wong, proving that if your ass is solid you can take on a tank…with your bare hands

^^Let’s go Justin! I hope he brings out makoto more often…

Season’s Beatings 4 is the next huge tournament in the U.S with notable participants Daigo, Momochi, GamerBee, and Team EG.

Let’s hope Justin uses Makoto in the tournament.
