Is it bad if I say that I want to be penetrated hard by V Ryu’s Makoto?

ex fuki > nj HP > fake cross up jHK work on everyone, just timing dependent.
You have to time the njHP and the jump so that Makoto push the falling body of the other character to stay inside the corner.
So @v-ryu we don’t need to crouch after j.hp during the crossdown, right? I’m in the lab ATM and seems work without the crouching posture. I have some problems with the reverse jump,I can do it 2/10, the timing is a bit tricky.
When I tested the cross down after fukiage reset I also found out the opponent cannot dash out of it. Forward dash and backdash dont seem to work because it screws with the inputs. They can focus backdash out of it which can be a risk as they have to guess the right way to dash
Having problems with that as well. I always end up on the other side. When I try to walk backwards (left, assuming I’m player1 and haven’t switched sides before) I end up getting a forward dash left for some reason (?).
Ex fuki > jHP > dash as soon as you land, then hold forward or backward after the dash.
Depending of what you hold, makoto will be in front or behind.
The only thing which requiers timing is the jHP.
Vs “normal” characters, you have to do it during the beginning of “descending” arc of jump.
Vs big, quite high enough
Vs sagat, very late.
If you end up on the other side no matter the direction you hold, that means you’ve hit jHP too early

(With your orientation) I get the forward dash left if I’m not careful, too. I think if you dash right then immediately press left, the auto-direction-correct (or whatever it’s called) registers the second “right” input as the first “left”, so when you press left again to try to walk backwards, the game registers it as a forward dash left.
I’ve found that inputting the first dash right quickly, pausing a moment, then pressing left gets around the autocorrect and Makoto just walks back. If you timed the j.hp correctly (ie, as v-ryu directs), Makoto will end up not crossing up. I haven’t tried doing what kraal suggests, basically the opposite and inputting left very quickly after dash.
Guys, my Makoto is a hot mess. I’d love some general critiques, and some specific advice for dealing with Rolento and Honda. Two things I’m already aware of are that I jump and focus WAY too much:
vs Rolento (I’d already pplayed him once or twice. This was the closest I came to winning):
vs Honda (I don’t even have words to describe my profound sadness on this one):
vs honda:
you need to know your frame data, because when you have opportunities to punish him hard, you sweep or grab. sweeping honda on recovery is not going to stop him from spamming whatever he wants. its very easy to focus on hondas butt slam on reaction.
for the most part, you need to know your frame data, or go to traning mode to see how to punish better
lol, that looks a lot like my games against Elena, she does random stuff, you try to block and sometimes you don’t really get why you get hit, then you jump on her and she dies.
the thing is with those setup, if opponent doesnt DWU, you will eat a shoryuken, because you dont really have time to react to non"technical" without jumping.
for the second setup, it works because ken MP/EX shoryu goes out in 4 frames (I had to check, wasnt sure for EX :D)
So the best thing is dash,nj+normal, meaty cr.lk? Like that we don’t eat a delayed wakeup shoryu? Maybe we can do a late crouch tech instead of the only cr.lk?
if he does light dp you will eat alot of damage but alot of people seem to do fierce and there is enough time there to look at the side of the screen and see that it doesnt say “technical” and do a tsurugi, which would make fierce dp and some other reversals like rog and adon whiff. ex and medium dp is 4 frames which is why i did those. either way yea its not totally safe i dont really do it untill its been shown that my opponent will frequently tech but i figure its still useful.
