People who crying about Makoto capacities in SF4 obviously never played Third Strike. There avoid a karakusa was WAAAY too hard.

you know what I missed about 3rd strike makoto the most… THAT DAMAGE!!!

it’s was like there was no damage scaling, you got stunned once by makoto and then you’re dead! sa III was soo scary! the definition of extreme…

Tanden Renki (SA3) was a bit useless, great damage, only parry allowed on D.

like I said, the definition of extreme. it was useless in tournament but I got great pleasure in watching it being used effectively in casuals.

Apply that type of pressure is still my goal with Makoto is SF4. The main problem is the engine and all those defensive tools in this game. Pushback or not we can’t maintain that pressure 24/7, in 3s mash a DP after an hayate was risky and hard, now is too easy and FA don’t work like parry in that situation,as a reversal the DP’s gonna shattered our FA. Makoto has more damage/stun, more health (more than shotos),a better recovery after dash and after karakusa (-28). Even the juggle points was better,Makoto was a pure ball of energy. Was risky even before,but the reward was way more higher thanks to the bigger room to make damage. We need something like a bigger hitstun after her hayates,just to make people guess what’s gonna happen like in 3s. EX Fuki is good,but we not asked for this especially if karakusa was treated like a grappler command grab. Since we don’t have invincibility with we don’t deserved the same recovery on whiff. We can connect with Ultra? For the opponents it’s better than gettin ultraed from a simple hayate for sure.

I’m generally satisfied with USF4 Makoto, but they butchered how she can get closer to the opponent. I find really annoying chasing fools for the whole round when Yun spend half of the time to do so and in a safer way.

she has such poor defense in ultra, the least they should have done was have her with greater health! I don’t get why they took away the 1000 health she had before?

She can still bang somewhat like in 3rd strike

For new characters I dunno. Work on Decapre as shown in the video, probably work on Poison because she has the same hitbox size as Viper.

When I’m struggling with Makoto… Here comes the Sensei xD

I have problems with the crossdown still: sometimes I can’t HC my st.HP in time (that tech confusing even me!),others I fail the j.HP timing. When I’ve tried the crossdown last time I get thrown myself,a simple throw beat my meaty normal. I’m too fast or too slow maybe? One sure thing, I’m gonna spend my lasts holidays in the lab to improve. Again.

With Makoto is a never ending work…

lol, just saw some of this stuff being used by vryu’s makoto against kingblacktoof’s gouken. if I didn’t know better, looking at those matches, it looks like 8-2 makoto.

I notice that vryu uses jump hk as well in the corner, does that work the same as the hp? is it also character specific?

Fake crossup “anymove” works vs entire cast. (jHP sometimes whiff).
Try to do neutral jump HP just when makoto is going down.

Once, i even did crossup MK (vs rose) but makoto hit her in front. Lol. I cant get the timing again :confused:
