I feel like posting up a vid for once.
Shadowloo Showdown V happened this weekend, my first match of the day was against Rico.
My very first match, I didn’t get any casuals or warm up games in before hand. I was on front/registration desk the whole weekend.
Pretty good match, really came down to him getting off a lot of TT from good reads and you missing a few punishes. Maybe should have tried more axekick in your pressure.
That match up is pure crazyness tho, like Ryan and Latif said after the end, no safety.
Super important, i had this experience several times playing with and without warmup on tournaments.
Your links dont feel crisp if u dont warmup and your mind hasn’t set in the fact that you need to be ready to punish every little whiff. It all comes down to warming up your brain and getting your mind readiness up beforehand
so many ex up kicks, it’s like he always has bar. also, who at Capcom thought that yun had problems getting in and therefore proceeded to make him + on block after ex dash punch?
hey guys here are a few games me and a friend played last week(planning on having something every week to get ready for canada cup). whole set of 10 is on the channel.
Hey citi I feel your pain, we have a few other poisons here in Detroit too. From what I saw for the most part you do fine I would say you just need to maximize your damage and stun against her. There were times when you had 2 bars for a fuki combo or reset and did FP into hayate instead.
Wolfkrone plays me a lot so he has the match up experience. Also poisons jump ins are good like vega but you have to anti air her either fuki or focus, her pressure up close is too good to allow her in on a jump in. She only has 950 stun so one fuki mixup into combo will stun her. Don’t be afraid of her dp she can’t convert it into big damage like some other characters so she mostly has to backdash to get out of pressure so keep that in mind.
Lastly her flip kick is super good at -1 on block so it’s not worth it trying to punish or even focus backdash. My advice in that situation is late crouch tech with cr mk it stops her from dashing forward doing dp or even another flip kick. All in all good stuff, Krone is a really smart player.
