vs sagat and Juri, I am also having a hard time identifying mistakes so I don’t know which way i need to improve
Sagat you gotta really just lock him down. Once your in his face his tu isn’t reliable enough to get in. Counter poke juri with c.mp-hayate until you get in. Her counter is annoying but that’s about it. Frame traps and safe jumps destroy her. It’ll be a battle getting in since they are both zoners tho. Try baiting juri into throwing an up fb then dash in. Other than that treat the other two like any normal fb. I still have trouble against sagat but I’m gonna try and get more matches with sang. I find n.j lk tsu works well against his fireball game. Especially when your close enough that he thinks he can uppercut you. Also if he’s s.hk happy you can karakusa it. If you want we can get some matches in.
Yeah I am up for some matches, with juri when I fight her i sorta just treat her like “no im not taking your bullshit” and i get in her face. I sorta feel like I need to learn when I should be using c.mp to hayate more, like really get a good understaning of his range. =( it’s stink when i don’t get in there and make him pay. Vs Sagat is it recommended to use U2?
Also where can I find a list of recommended ultras vs who ever?
What I use as a rule of thumb is, if they can shoot projectiles i use U2 lol
dont forget to use EX hayate on reaction tu punish juri’s fuhajin.
I wouldn’t suggest using u2 against juri or gouken, as their arced fireballs can beat it clean. Also, I find u2 harder to use overall. It’s not easy to react to a fireball with it sometimes and u1 is definitely easy to confirm into. Typically I find myself using u2 against vortex or heavy corner pressure characters (like Ibuki or Dictator) more for an escape option than an actual punish. You should really try to ween yourself of those all or nothing predictive u2s. So rule of thumb is, when in doubt, just pick u1.
Man you like to choke son! You really shouldn’t be going for repeated chokes so much, just go for a simple hayate combo or u1 for the damage. Your shenanigans only caught people a few times and you often ended up with less overall damage done, especially in that cody match. Also, I noticed you weren’t using s. HP into HP hayate. You’ll get more damage if you learn it.
You should also work on your hit confirms. There were several times where you hit with your jabs then stopped the combo. cr. lp can combo into s. mp or cr. lk for a hit confirm into ex hayate. Your focus punish isn’t ideal either. IAT->st. HP->ex hayate->fuki->ex tsurugi is max damage. Or you can fukiage after the crumple and do a reset with either fwd. lk if you’re in the corner or j. HP.
I noticed several times in the cody match where the cody was just landing random ruffian kicks. At first he was doing them on reaction, but eventually he just starting throwing them out. That move is punishable, but he was getting away with it since you weren’t blocking. I admire your gusto, but sometimes you just gotta sit for a second and block. 
Cr.lp doesn’t combo into mp. I agree about the repeated karakusa. You tried it a few times last night and it works against people not looking for it.
err the cody match wasnt me playing that was a friend of mine who uses mak but i am taking note to what is being said. when I do fight Cody I try to bait his Knuckle, Although I am not sure what moves I ca punish of his.
I have a best of 5 match with a Sakura player that I will have recorded this wednesday. I wish I could get some games in tonight so I could show what I am improving on.

I’m starting to like U2 against Gouken, really. If you have meter, every time he throws a fireball he risks either eating an ultra or an ex hayate.
ultra II is awesome!!! i don’t play tournaments so the matches just aren’t that serious for me and i enjoy using ultra II every chance i get. you gotta have some fun…
Ya there are certain match ups where u1 is eternally more useful BUT I would say its more player sensitive. Ive been playing some top 20 Rufus and dudley players and I know that eventually because of their playstyle I can get an U2 in. The next Rufus might not give me the chance so it’s back to u1. Btw I love U2 too. It just looks so badass. Also the fact that if u play your cards right you could get an easy stun right after it is invaluable to me.
Are you watching the level of the fireball and then choosing between ex hayate and U2? Everytime I tried to do that I was too late on either option.
