so I’m facing off against LPN first thing at Evo and I’m trying to learn the cammy matchup, and I’m just going to dick ride Haitani for a bit here…first 30 seconds, what the heck is he doing hayate feints + eating cannon strikes, and an instant off of a pseudo anti-air tsurigi he completely reverses the momentum lands a stun…wtf…
and then the second match 1st round I don’t even know what the hell happened he just flipped a switch and rolled all over him…wow…

GOTTA REVIVE IT lets post more Haitani matches, I’m trying to find a way to get a hold of his Topanga League matches vs Kindevu apparently he swept him 3-0 when they played.
ok, first off, i’m no makoto expert and i’m sure some of the vets here can give you a better breakdown of your matches.
with that said, im gonna try breaking down the match vs gouki:
your punishes are kinda lacking! after AA fuki you missed the followup a lot because you were out of range. you should go for either ex or kara fuki in that instance foloowed by ex tsurigi for max damage. i just started using kara fuki myself but it is MAD EASY to do and you’ll get the hang of it in no time. on gouki, it is also useful after a midscreen focus crumple for max damage. i see you went for kara instead…
next, your hayate feint into dash or hayate. you might wanna use that sparingly or at least not attack after some of those because you telegraph your next move with it.
another thing is that you seem to have little outside of doing a ground cross over with f hk after an ex oroshi or back throw. check out some of the other threads for some setups that put you at less risk. check out all the tsurigi setups…
oh yeah, try saving your ex hayate for getting in on gouki after his air fireball! that’s gonna scare him a little lol
Hmm that is some good input, th gouken did tell me that he didn’t like me getting in so much, Your right though, I do not have many setups after knock down…need to step that shit up!

Man haitani looked a little shaken up in that match. He missed 1 or 2 easy punishes that could have given him the lead. The aa ultra getting stuffed by her kick tho…
