Hayate feints that move you closer or keep you at the same range do make for some kind of extended offense. There has to be some value in that.

It could probably only serve to supplement an effective offense as opposed to providing for one though…

I think you should use the feints because they work well in karakusa mixups. Its not about the DMG all the time, even though its a big part of the game but, if your trying to get a ultra off and u have no meter, using feints and baiting reversals is your best way of going about it. I know what your coming from but feints is still a big part of her mix-up.

Yea I should specify further: I think something like st.mp (blocked) into feint starts a decent mixup opportunity, but I’d never bother with Hayate feints after karakusa. Yea it can give you more potential damage, but if I’m in a tourney then I’m taking the guaranteed damage ASAP. Fuck I need to do that as well online because of all the mashing going on. IMHO it takes too much effort to even land karakusa against good comp so I’m definitely getting in the damage when I can.

Against newer players who do nothing but flail, hayate fakes are useless because they won’t react to the fake at all. Certainly, at upper level fights, a hayate fake here or there may cause someone to relax and open themselves up to more damage. When in doubt, take the damage you can get. Definately not something to abuse either. Unless you hayate fake to draw a DP. Hayate fakes are probably bad against the Gief, T. Hawk, or anyone else who has a good command grab.

In the end, if it works, abuse it, if it doesn’t, don’t push it. Like everything else in this game.

Very good job, good use of feints, some very smart dashes i saw. Maybe you could try to use IAT’s a little more? I would give more advice but someone better could probably give more than i can.

On a side note is that just adons theme, or am i hearing some serious sam kamikaze screams in the background?

Man, Shiro knows how to handle Bison. No crazy combos or feints, but he doesn’t leave himself vulnerable either.

On a side note: Do different regions get different alternate costumes? I haven’t seen that Chun outfit before.

I believe that’s an alternate alternate…like…buy the alt 2 and pick color 10, like sakura’s…not completely sure on that though

When I first saw Siroitachi’s replays on psn I thought he was a booster or something - the match was him against a 4000+ PP Rose and he did nothing but f+MP, MP, normal throws and occasionally he would F+HK after a normal throw to make sure they stayed in the corner. Despite being the most basic SF I’ve ever seen, he won without really ever getting hit.
