Wait, if jump cancel is gone on her regular fukis that takes away her strings ending in lp Fuki > Tsurugi doesn’t it? Or am I reading that wrong?

-Having only EX Fukiage jump cancelable would fucking nosense. With a nerf like that having the new EX Fuki doesn’t seems that rewarding.

By the way, your question about jump cancel regular fuki, I guess regular fuki aren’t jump cancelable on block, but regular fuki don’t hit ground, you they never hit block.
Kind of pointless to say.

EX Fuki being jump cancelable on block is such a surprise to me. Almost as surprising as EX Fuki hitting ground in the first place.
cross down EX Fuki the same way Yun can do crossdown shoulder sounds way too good to be true lol. Hit confirm out of a low ? EX fuki on block > instant tsurugi ?

OK, only ex fuki being jump cancellable makes sense now. I think this is actually the case! I was woundering why they would make ex hayate useless with this fuki buff and now I know how they balanced it off. if, that’s the case we’re gonna need mad meter to do anything in the corner or midscreen, ex tsurigi only after ex fuki now. if this is true, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE!!!

I always thought this grounded ex fuki was a bad idea, the UCI damage reduction, the reduced back throw range??? how is this a better makoto??? they just brought her back a step if you ask me!

Crossup grounded EX fukiage existed in SFIII. Not ground breaking but jump cancel into focus-dash would be nice since it could be a safe mixup. Anything else would probably be punishable.

Actually Vryu said on Twitter that according to multiple japanese players, regular fukiage is no more jump cancellable BUT, I just saw this video from srk rebalance request thread:

Jump to 1:58, the makoto player is performing the corner combo and even if the video is crappy I’m quite positive he used regular fukiage and jump canceled it.
At least that’s what I’m seeing.

yup! it is a regular fukiage into ex tsurigi, check out the meter usage, only 2 bars were used up during the combo! SWEET! I’m so relieved…

I breathe a sigh of relief for makoto players, That nerf on regular fukiage would’ve been fucked up. You guys are going to be doing mad damage with ex fukiage buff, Meanwhile, Oni’s U2 input is changed to HCB. Yay, so much difference, now I start off with the worst input!

EX.fukiage hitting on ground makes for a easier/stronger stun reset if you have meter. Don’t have to wait for the airborn frames on crumple and can add in a HP. Or just skip the focus attk and go j.HK -> s.HP -> EX.fukiage -> j.HP reset if that’ll do more damage.
Does karakusa startup look faster?
I’m hoping the karakusa translation is referring to a positive change in recovery frames, as in positive/better for makoto players, as in less recovery frames :smiley:

it gives more utility to forward throw which currently isn’t used unless you’re going for stun. I’ll play around with it.
