I should’ve added in, they are more interested in Injustice or few fun games in Marvel at the moment. Not many of them are interested in improving or getting very good at SF. I love vsing someone who will beat me, like you said you learn more from losing, you’re forced to lose or look for a way to get better.

Basically:
- f.MK and f.HK target comboes to have faster startup (or active frames earlier?)
- Hayate more frame advantaged and less push back on hit
- c.LK to have 3F startup
- Karakusa hitstun increase
- Backdash to be able to have the last frames cancellable (both focus cancellable and special moves)
- lower damage for U2
- lower damage for yamase
Keep in mind this is just people requesting changes, but if they give her #2 I’ll be ecstatic lol…
I like how the US/Combofiend suggestions included nerfing U1, and Japan wants to nerf U2.
Overall though, both US and Japan’s buffs suggestions for Makoto are really positive. Full invuln. for Oroshi? More/better 3 frame moves? I am okay with this.
i’m not down with lower damage on anything! they already reduced her damage on fuki etc, I really hope there is no damage reduction on anything else.
Ok why do people want her U2 damage lowered? Its her way of being a threat to characters who try to zone her out. Or her U1 damage lowered? She doesn’t need anything tbh, BUT if they want to be generous make her Roundhouse karakusa connect after hayates. thats all I can really think or beacause AE makoto feels perfect.
How about a cleavage buff in her character portrait too? She’s got a rockin body but in her character pic, flat as a surfboard and that is a travesty.
Just make the artwork bandage Makoto, and while they’re at it give her the bandage alt.
This is what I want more than anything. Seriously, I could live without any buffs or changes if I got this.
These sound pretty fair to me, and I agree about number 2. I have also been hearing some talk of a slight walk speed increase, that sounds like it might be a little much though.
So, AE update Panel ended and we only got information on 10 chars but Makoto was not included. Seeing as it’s supposed to be released early 2014, we’ll have to wait.
A positive note though, from MetalMusicMan’s twitter:
Makoto is sitting right on the precipice. One solid buff and she could break this game over her knee.
Not that I’d complain too much, maiming her the past three years has been hard ass work.
I might actually pick this game back up if she gets some cool buffs. I hope they don’t lower U 1 damage. I hope they also make Karakusa able to land after a Hayate. and I hope they make her F lp useful.
According to the Eventhubs character changes list a few characters get buffs and nerfs but Makoto…all hers has is:

As seen at EVO,Makoto deserve something on defense. If the best Mak player around throw off 2/3 blind ultras then something is wrong. And,if you ask me, the game need a total reversals/FA rebuilt. ATM thye best thing after a landing Hayate is block and nobody want block against us,simply throw out a reversal. Yeah,we can bait,but how many times? When our opponent’s reversal connect,we have not much to avoid pressure. Haitani goes for some Hail Mary U1’s just because nobody respect our wake up option,we are the ones without any GTFO move in the whole game. This is just ridicolous. And please,I really hope they fix the post-hayate mixups and j.mk,we need options. Gimme more Capcom!
Haitani got a ton of Ultras because his opponents kept dropping their combos. Makoto has a good backdash/FADC backdash to wake up with you know, not many characters can punish it. Not to mention she can still U2. Hayate mixups aren’t that bad either, you can cycle between axe kicks, command grabs, or backdashes/blocks, the only thing is that command grabs will require a kara cancel. So if you have the execution for it, you can still play a 3s like makoto.
The only wake up Ultra I remember was against Latiff. He used wake up Ultra 2 against Latiff’s short short option select which I think was fast enough to catch the second short and probably the option select if it came out.
in 3s only 2 characters could jab her out of hayate mixups (ibuki and chun), you weren’t going to be punished for karakusa attempt (fast recovery) and you added parry to the mix. it’s not really comparable.
i agree w/ blockadde on this, you can’t really compare the post hayate mixups in 3rd strike with what she has going on in SSF4, it’s just that much stronger in 3rd strike.
Ex hayate being safe on block would be nice, seeing as there’s other characters who have similar moves safe on block.
I want at least 2 versions of the following :
**reduce karakusa recovery by half or at least a third
**make Oroshi fully hit invincible
**make karakusa fully normal throw invincible
**during Super, +1 juggle to all specials
**special cancel Yamase and sHK
**Return a version of 3S like Super. meaning like maybe the ability to parry all non armor breaking moves but no blocking
**fLP +4 on hit
Makoto is going to be top tier in ultra.
