I too have a problem against Blankas, it’s so annoying they just spam the balls and electricity and since you’re really close there’s nothing you can except either sweep, U1, or c.lk (not really safe though, I wouldn’t count on it)
I do however cr.mk if I saw the ball coming and depending on the distance you can beat it. Most of the time, I’d say 50%, it trades though. Then again it might be me messing up the timing.
Knock him down and stick st.mps in his face. It beats all of his offensive options on wakeup except ex up ball, which you can punish on hit with ex hayate. But of course know when to just sit there and block, since 90% of online Blankas like to use wakeup ultra like nobody knows how to block it.

When I fight a Blanka that likes to jab -> elec -> jab over and over, I usually just try and get out of the situation. Just keep patient and look for a way out, or maybe a screwup on his end that you can take advantage of.

Yes because electricity takes 5 frames to be active I believe. A meaty attack will always beat it.
vs vega you can do meaty c.lk, s.mp, s.mp, s.mp xx whatever for an easy and very damaging hitconfirm. he doesn’t seem to reel very far back, so even though he’s a skinny character all the hits connect. FFSS also works on him too, strangely. does anyone else get hit by 3xMP after meaty low short? it really racks up the stun and is a pretty safe way to work your offense.

Nice vryu. For that ex messiah OS it will also lose to delayed overhead (hk) finish too. I dunno about the corner tsurugi setup, half the time when i try to set it up still find i get dp’d and shit in training mode, which becomes a hundred times worse also if it auto corrects and you’re now in the corner lol.
Also that blanka one can also be applied to a safe jump os MP hayate, mp because it has to hit a little later to hit the ex rainbow ball. The normals to safe jump blanka are neutral jump mk and jump f hp, have to use these to beat electricity startup (jump hk will whiff or get hit by electricty).

Blanka OS question: So after the OROSHI knockdown, you dash, neutral dump into a cr. mk THEN do LP Hayate to beat all the moves listed in the video. Did I get that right?
you have to delay A BIT because blanka wakes up later.
You can use dash jump any move -> land crMK too.

I can add that against blanka, you can use:
- dash -> ultra1 to punish blocked ball (except LP ball if i remember)
- break his charge on knocked down (EX oroshi -> forward jump any move -> meaty MP oroshi (you must “any move” in the air, because blanka wakes up later). He can still EX vertical ball you, but you can punish it, even on hit.
- you can grab any electricity on wakeup.
As of right now, the 1st page doesn’t have much on DeeJay and I don’t face him very often either…Any suggestions on how to approach him? Also, can his Machine gun uppers & dread kicks be punished?
Random question: Does f+mk have advantage on block or hit?
DJ is pretty much just another Guile match, cept he’s shittier & you can’t cross him up…you should be able to out poke him, so flail away. you should be able to get the machinegun upper with a MP & his dread kicks depending on spacing with a LP or LK
I think lp to electricity only works twice in a row safely for them. So they can do lp, elec, lp, elec, then I think a counter can be attempted.

Hi Again. Fighting Sagat is like going through a military obstacle course. His tiger upper cut is beating all my meaty setups? His EX tiger knee is RUTHLESS! Do you have guys have any suggestions?
(I’m terrible so take my advice with a grain of salt)
For Sagat I try to play patient and defensive. I use U2 and focus (dash back) Tiger shots, a couple at a time then wait for my HP to come back. Benefits are two-fold, 1. I’ll have ultra up in no time, 2. Sagat may get bored and come to me. Once U2 is up, you either land the ultra or he stops the tiger shots, both of which are in my favor. cMK will stuff random tiger knees and most of his air attacks (sMP for the elbow). EX Tiger Knee is the only one that is safe. Bait uppercuts and/or use safe jumps on his wakeup.
My issue of the day:
Adon destroys me for free. I just don’t know what to do.
Except Rising Jaguar, his specials are so safe on block (-1 to -3) that I’m afraid to counterattack anything he does after getting frame-trapped by his pokes dozens of times. So I succumb to his Jaguar Kick pressure and get crossed up into oblivion, playing the block & tech game. I will inevitably make a mistake (miss a crossup block or attempt to crouch tech a jMK->Rising Jaguar). Fukiage feels like rolling the dice on getting stuffed or traded.
I try to stuff random Jaguar Tooths with sMP. This works, but if I don’t react fast enough and end up blocking it, I always seem to guess wrong on whether they’ll throw, rising jaguar or jump again.
Another thing I have a lot of trouble with … How do you guys deal with point blank neutral jumps that people use to bait throw techs? Even when I know they’re going to do it, I can’t seem to stop them.
