See what happens when people keep mixing up notations with ABC/LMH, choose one and stick with it
how much damage are you getting out of that though? I was doing basic into c. C, jump, B, B, C, c.C, J.H, J.S xx lighting attackx lightening storm, and I couldn’t get it to crack 500.
It really does seem like the longer the combo before the super, the more damage elemental rage does comparatively, due to that last hit being like 50K damage.
Also, even on ground based combos, the end of lightening storm seems to push them up fairly high (much like sentinel’s Plasma Storm).
I’m going to do some experimenting w/ lightening attacks when I get home. Things I want to know:
1)Can air to ground lightening attacks be made safe? If not, can which assists help?
2) Do lightning attacks break armor? (i’m thinking yes)
3)What are practical setups for crossup lightning attacks?
How do y’all feel bout storms lightning attack assist as an AA? It looks pretty decent.
I don’t know…I always get worried about having low stamina characters with as assist that project themselves forward somehow. I always feel like I’m sending a lamb in to get slaughtered (I have a heart attack every time I see a Phoenix TK Overdrive assist whiff.) Also, isn’t the priority on her lightning attack only so-so? Right now, it looks like the clear winner for a dependable anti-air assist is Haggar and his head-to-toe invulnerability.
Actually I was thinking about running Lightening Attack because whirlwind messes up my rush with my other chars because it pushes all the way to the corner.
It seems like the more hits in the combo before Lightning Attack, the more it scales. A simple magic series into lax3 xx super does 545K. The most I’ve been able to do with Storm off a low short so far is 561K using Hail Storm.
Her strongest BnB 1 bar combo does around 575k.
My execution sucks too much. Can someone tell me if this is possible so I can stop trying if its not?

Sooooooo I developed this awesome ass combo with Storm!!(corner) j.S c. L c.L c.M c.H (in air(m, m, h) c.M s.H c.H S (in air(m, m, h, lightning attack forward, lightning attack up-forward, lightning storm) 32 hit combo 495,500 and 500,000+ on sentinel with 1 c.L at the beginning! You can do it out of the corner with 1 c.L at the beginning and using lightning attack accordingly!! It’s scaled a lot but it looks cool sorry if it’s already been posted!!
storm is definitely my most efficient character right now in training/arcade modes. i refuse to play this game competitively or online until i level up my execution and i’m comfortable with the game.
anyone using either dormammu, wolverine or viper with storm? any good combinations that i should be aware of? these are my best characters right now (with the exception of sentinel but let’s not go there).
My only problem w/ storm right now is that she doesn’t seem to fit well in team dynamics in terms of assists.
Her only real positives over magneto are the DHC friendly and Assist Punishing Hail Storm, and the instant overhead E.
Magneto can hit her max of 500K and some change w/ no meter. EM disruptor> Typhoon at the moment.
And, gravity squeeze… need I say more?

Sometimes i land a the launcher and m,m to lightning attack once (ultra, rare twice) into Lightning supers!
I love her! but any gen tips?

What normals are you storm mainers approaching the opponent with? Currently im doing tri jump into crouching L for the hit confirm.
What is that bnb?
What move does an OTG to the opponent with her?
Only Hailstorm or Elemental Rage OTG with storm.
Either get a OTG assist or learn her loops to get more out of combos.

Ok, so I experimented with Storm’s combos and was trying to master them all in the guide, but a few of them seemed to have some unnecessary added hits and required tight links. So I modified them a bit and I was actually able to get some really good damage off of them. One got a little over 580k and the other broke 590k!! They are semi-advanced since you need to lightning attack loop/combo off lightening attack but they are still easier then the most advanced ones in the guide and the damage is nice.
First one is off her hit conformable low.
cr.L,st.M,cr.H, Jump down/forward Lightning Attack, cr.H, Jump down/forward Lightning Attack, st.M, st.H, S, sj, j.H cancel into Lightning Attack x 3 cancel into Lightning Storm.
Does a little over 590k. Timing for the Cr.H after the first low lightning attack has to be pretty much ASAP after she recovers from the special. That’s really the only tricky part about the combo. For the last lightning attacks x 3 you will probably wanna go forward then up/foward x 2 but it also depends on your spacing. Alternatively forward, up, then forward again works as well.
Second one is off her Instant overhead.
Instant overhead S, cr.L,st.M,cr.H, Jump down/forward Lightning Attack, St.M, st.H, S, sj, j.H airdash J.H cancel into Lightning Attack x 3 cancel into Lightning Storm.
Does a little over 580 K. The direction of airdash j.H depends on your spacing and when you jumped. I personally like to do a slightly delayed jump H and then air dash up and do the second H. If you do the combo that way then the lightning attacks should be forward then up/forward x 2.
These will probably be my two mainstay combos along with maybe 2 others. Execution isn’t too hard, but not scrubby either and the damage is quite good.
