I certainly didn’t expect it. That makes an already great super stupidly great.
I am ok with hailstorm otg-ing, but man, the chip Justin did to Marn’s Zero and Viper with Hail Storm was just ridicilious, I don’t want to exaggerate but I think more than MVC2? Good thing it is avoidable at the top opposite corner of the screen.
Its not avoidable. There are less shards of ice in the top corner.

hail storm had inconsistent chip in mvc2 anyway. one time it could take off a tenth of your life another just a pixel of chip
I hated it’s randomness
It’s reminding me quite a bit of the transition they did with Sabertooth’s “Birdie” hyper from XvSF to MvC2. Not that he was any good in MvC2, but Birdie did literally no chip damage in the first game, to insane in the next. Magneto did ridiculous chip with his tempest in XvSF, but then it was massively toned down in MvC2. Storm’s Hailstorm looks like it’s taken the Sabertooth route this time, although it’s also not as “free” as it was before.

I think once people get the character movements (wavedashes/trijumps etc) down it will ramp up the speed of the gameplay considerably. Storm is shaping up to be a really strong/quick all rounder.

Game isn’t even out and already scrubs are complaining about the chip when you make it rain.
Yeah I was watching that earlier. Storm’s looking pretty beastly, I’d say she’s gonna be top tier for sure again. Hailstorm is crazy good and Storm in XFC mode is effing nuts.
maybe you can super jump over it… but the chip damage is nuts…im thinking of using her becuase of it.
So i heard on the podcast that if she does an instant tri jump, she lands before she can get a normal out. ie. no overheads off of instant tri jumps. Same with Mags.
They may change that yet, they did with Iron Man.
