MadCatZ PS3 TE FightStick: PC - Xp- vista- win7 32-64bit (read 1st post)

For mine, I am required to run an application before some PS3 controllers work (all official controllers, some converters). Some work without the application or without the driver (FS3 works without the application for me.)

It could be possible that you aren’t running the application. Is this true?

This is being looked into, if you want, call in the tech support line and let them know as well.

I’ll hopefully update this issue soon. I want to see if is an isolated batch/run or what… I have nothing else aside from that at this point.

Hey, thanks for the update, Markman. Good to know it’s being worked on.

I don’t want to keep bumping this thread but a lot more people should have sticks now. If we could get some more reports of your PS3 sticks working or not on your pc maybe it would help find out if it is indeed an isolated problem.

im pretty sure its not an isolated problem because i have tried out 2 te sticks on 4 different computers. and both of them don’t work on the same 3 out of 4. i think its the version of windows, or vista that makes it plug and play.

Works perfect with windows 32bit

doesnt work on xp32 bit here , tried this driver posted up there and it doesnt recognize the input

Doesn’t work on my PC either. I’m european so I don’t know whether the european sticks have any differences with the american ones or whether they are identical.
I’m on windows XP 32 bit home SP3. It recognizes the device (wired stick 8838 or whatever) but won’t read any input. My driver version for the HID-compliant game controller device in device manager is 5.1.2600.5512. This info might not help anyone, but I thought I should post my exact problem in the unlikely event that it does.

Oh, and it works fine on my PS3.

I got the exact same problem

anyone found a solution yet? I been trying various things and setup on my pc for the past hour , but no luck so far…

i tried calling madcatz, i was on the phone for the last 20 minutes listening to “your call is important to us please wait for the next available person” or w/e it says and now they are closed. its 4pm

listen guys do not install none of that homebrew software as all of them are 32bit only and it is not specifically for the sticks, leave them well alone and wait for a madcatz driver hopefully through a windows update or link from there site.

it doesnt work on my computer (xp home sp2) and it doesnt work on my bros (xp pro sp3) and i have the SE stick

Would be nice if they actually hurried a bit , this is a major flaw

just got my ps3 te’s and liek the rest of you, it installs as Pc wired stick 8838, but no button or stick movement registers, i emailed madcatz and hopefully theres a solution soon.

Windows XP 32bit SP3

Not working. It registers on the USB, it shows on the Game Controllers section, but it doesn’t register any inputs  Same situation as the poster above. PS3 version too btw

i dont think that the pc is giving the stick enough juice, as the driver automatically installs in vista but i think it dont give it the appropriate power supply as even my turbo lights do not engage.

meaning i think the automatically installed drivers windows installs is not appropriate, hopeful that some 1 will come up with a fix.

I mailed them yesterday as well , no reply so far

i mailed them today also , we see what happens
