Dunno if that links been posted, but it’s an answer from tech support. Prolly not going to get an eta on fixing this from madcatz tho.

Posted a few pages back…
Also forgot to add that my os is vista 64.

More than a week and still no reply. I’ve sent another email to both US and UK tech support this time. This is getting fucking retarded. They call themselves tech support yet not only are they unwilling to help, they go to the extend of ignoring their customers when their product is faulty.

I don’t have one yet but so i dont know, but on the Gamespot review of the sticks they said that “The sticks aren’t cross-console compatible but they will both work with the PC.”

If any is looking for the PS3 six axis controller driver here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nlzmojnnzlt

I dont know if it will work but i suppose its worth a shot. Let other people know if it does.

Instructions: Just plug in the controller into the usb, let windows read and install it, then run the program and load the driver. If it looks like nothing happens when you press load driver, don’t worry it has loaded it, even tho it looks like it didnt. So far ive gotten 2 controllers to work at the same time with ease. If u want to add a second just repeat the same process with the second controller. If you do it and it still doesnt work then just hold down the PS button on it for a minimum of 5 secs and try again. You can check if it works with the game controller manager in the control pannel.

The sixaxis driver does NOT work. It’s been tried. Mad Catz just needs to man up and make the driver for their product that was supposed to be PC compatible out of the box.

This issue have been known quite a while now by madcatz 65 days or 520 working hours if they are working 8 hours a day and they havent done anything at all to fix the problem? Maybe they are just waiting for someone to make their own drivers and thus saving them the work? If they even cared about their customers they would have released thoose drivers already how hard can it be?!

I’ve tested the sixaxis driver once again just to confirm. Same problem, the joystick gets recognised in control panel but inputs cannot be read.

Yeah I don’t know wtf madcatz is doing by not fixing this issue and ignoring all our emails.

My TE work with PS3 and Vista 32 bit (965 chipset). Have used it for MAME but not any PC games. The strange thing to me was when i plugged it into pc it did not install drivers or anything like that it simply worked when i configured it in MAME :wtf:

Just want to add that my PS3 TE is also not working with my nF4 board. Works fine on my old ass Toshiba laptop though… I’m impatient, and will probably order a PCI USB card, but if it will help get a fix for others my motherboard is:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

Bullshit that I’ll have to spend another 10-15 bucks for a PCI USB card for something that already cost ~165 after tax and shipping that was supposed to be “plug and play”.

picking up my PS3 se fightstick today
i hope it works

you should be good. i have an intel chipset and it works fine. it’s the amd/ati/nvidia’s that seem to have troubles.

chipset intel pm45
southbridge intel 82801im

I’d really like to know what’s going on with MadCatz on this issue. They’ve had plenty of time to come up with a fix for something that was supposed to be plug-and-play, but we’ve still heard nothing from them.

so my os doesn’t matter?

when jumping in a thread and posting it pays off to read the first few pages and see what the first users done to get it working instead of writing the same crap for 9 pages.

read brother

I lost hope in MadCatz releasing drivers so I went and bought a $6 USB card.

Now I can’t get a screw out of my PC to put the damn thing in. Fuck.

Before I buy a PCI USB Card I whant to ask if it’s a problem with my board.

Usin “Windows 7 RC 1”

I shouldn’t have to pay even more to get my stick working just because MadCatz is too lazy to fix the problem. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t, because I don’t have a spare PCI slot. Some people need that fix.

Read yourself, bro.

FINALLY got that screw out and my TE stick works perfectly!

Here’s what I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001L4HXVI

i’ve read long and hard and my only option was to buy a pci card, as theres nothing yet that will allow play on the chipsets mentioned.

your best bet is writing to madcatz and expressing that there needs to be a driver made to fix this .

until then i wish you the best in finding a solution.

see you in another life brother.
