Yeah when is don’s true identity finally going to be exposed to all?
The arc of the show is most likely going to be the dissolution of Don Draper’s constructed identity. So make peace with your subscription, because you’re going to be getting plenty of his issues.
He is just going to fly to the midwest and become a farmer. THE END.
He’s going to fly out the window and become a street pizza.
Isn’t the booze and drinking going to take care of him first?
^
or smoking? I remember in S1 he had his doctors appt scene where he said he was “cutting down” to 2 packs a day! I feel like they just kind of gave up considering Roger boozes and smokes as hard as anyone and the old ticker hasn’t caused any stir since season one.
yes, smoking…I totally didn’t realize I said that.
Cue the neighbor’s twentysomething daughter in farmgirl attire and pigtails. “Hey mistah, my pa’s gone to sell his hogs, couldya help me move dis here tractor? I need it in the backdoor.”
Don looks at the audience grinning /4th wall
Don gets hit by a Ford Mustang and dies, like father like son.
One of the greatest episodes in this show’s 6 season history and I have to bump this thread? Seriously?!
Holy mackerel.
Mad Men or Breaking Bad. One of these shows is going to have a spectacular series finale like none other.
Seriously. Like my goodness. It’s like Matt was like “I’m done with the games and so is Don Draper.”
I’ve also waited long to see Peggy take the sex appeal to 9. She can do it. She could get it.
man, pete is beyond redemption. i’m so done with this guy.
don
Spoiler
i can’t believe don went and spilled the beans. mind is blown. can’t wait for next episode.
I was legit angry when I heard the song come on and knew the credits were coming. MAD MEN, WHY MUST YOU DANGLE THIS OVER OUR HEADS?
That was the season finale wasn’t it!
Great ep, good to see Pete just be humiliated and Don get some jail time lol. Anyone else think Pete’s mom just looks like a really old version of Trudy!?
So Megan is probably won’t be returning for any major parts next season, Don is probably going to try weasel his way back into Betty’s bed.
And daaamn Peggy! Felt sorry for her again, Ted’s reasoning came out as a huge insult.
Too little, too late Don… at least for his adult relationships. At least he’s showing he can salvage the relationship with his children. Sally definitely will understand his flaws once the full extent of his childhood is revealed.
I have a feeling him letting Ted go to Cali is going to be one of those moments where (dare I say it) good karma will happen for him. Ted won’t forget it, even if it’s a decade from now.
Speaking of which, Ted’s partner aka Tim Gunn’s father via asexual budding, probably has some an interesting background.
Megan leaving was totally seen a mile away. Even when she’s frustrated she’s still demure, no true maliciousness in her bones whatsoever.
Wow, the entire Campbell family is fucked up. Soulless SOBs. I seriously hope my sweetie pie Trudy doesn’t take him back. Ben Bobson owned his ass, and it was beautiful. TONIGHT, YOU…
Peggy Draper is going to secure her staus and be a true female player in the Ad game. Good for her. Lemons into lemonade.
BTW, does anyone think maybe Manolo and Pete’s mom actually faked everything just to disappear together? Vwat a twvist!
The most glorious thing about this episode is the way that Don had another chance to run away and start over… and he didn’t. On purpose. I know people have alleged that his character has stagnated, but I think his evolution is just that glacial. One of the things worth loving most about this show is that it doesn’t tie character development to plot points and scripted epiphanies, at least not in the cute one-to-one way that so many dramas do.
…Well, the most glorious thing was Pete getting metaphorically punched in the face by Bob, but you know.
I love how Don just said “fuck it” and peaced out.
Also love Bob “BAWSE” Benson.
I think he IS going to start over as Dick Whitman and finally come clean.
Excellent, excellent season finale. It may be the best season finale since season 3. So much happened for a show that really doesn’t do a lot. Did we see the death of Don Draper and the rebirth of Dick Whitman?!
