Last but not least, damn Don has a keeper, she gets fires precisely because of Don’s shenanigans (lol Peggy) and she just rides the walrus. In fact, Faye actually makes me feel depressed that this is just a character on TV show. She’s like a smarter, less clingy version of Pete’s wife.

Some thoughts
-Don is a great creative guy but I think he needs to learn to trust his account men to do their job. I agree it was a mistake for him to take the one dude to lunch; gotta trust your bench to do what they do best.
-I knew the short dude would get fired; short dudes are always the first to go!
-Don’s idea was brilliant and exactly what SCDP needed. It gives them a new direction, a new face, and changes the conversation. It reminds me a lot of the “lemon” Volkswagen ad from Season 1; like it or hate it, people are talking about it, and for an ad agency, that’s business.
-Now that Cooper is gone (what did he really do anyway? read newspapers and handle political aspects of the business?) I don’t see why they can’t just modify the sign. “Campbell Sterling Draper Pryce” sounds great; my boy Campbell is still hustlin’ and sticking with the firm. I was surprised Don paid Pete’s share, but it was definitely understandable; after the airlines incident a few eps back, Don owed Pete. significantly. The relationship between Don and Pete is one of my favorites in the show, with its different nuances and how it has grown. Don has gone from firing Pete for pitching copy in Season 1, to respecting his account abilities over Roger in Season 4.
Trudy is recovering well, and is still gorgeous. Pete is damned lucky. It was interesting to see their little squabble; Pete is fighting for this company, but Trudy put the foot down on the baby’s future.
Rewatching some old eps, I’m still laughing at when Blankenship died and Joan tries to move her, can’t. And then says, “find a man!” So who do they choose to help move her? fuckin Pete. Hahah. Joan is bigger than he is!
Pete is full of power. Sterling Draper Pryce sounds good too.

Indeed Trudy is gold. Her stubbornness and lack of complexity is the reason why she’s an iota below Faye, but she makes it up in cuteness and absolute loyalty. She pretty much lives for him and the baby, her only want is a white picket fence in the suburbs.

aww poor faye, after all she’d done for him. even lost her job. i was kinda pissed at don but i guess if its love, then love can do that to people(ive experienced both sides, one side’s extreme bliss and the other is extreme sadness, thats just life i guess).
i liked that last scene, betty finally acted like an adult, though she knew her actions played a part in making that thing happen(firing carla)… i think its obvious that she still loves don… i wont call it a lukewarm episode, more bittersweet than anything, i loved it.
Yeah i really felt for Faye. it must have really hurt her a lot, i liked her. Don coming out of NOWHERE with that love for Megan though…really bizarre. but they seemed so happy together…

The latter half of this season finale felt like a hallucination or a random dream sequence.
Don has fucked up before, but he will rue the day he broke up with Faye next season. He chose someone who was his intellectual inferior and generic just because it felt safe, instead of someone who was absolutely committed to him even when his past was revealed.
