I received my stick yesterday and everything was fine. There’s only a minor scratch on the front side of the case where the headphone jack is but that’s about it. I had a problem with the fedex guy though. Instead of placing the package on my doorstep nicely, he just threw it on the floor. Heard it from inside my room but luckily the stick was fine.
Well that explains my packing slip. Placed order Sunday for JLF replacement stick, no keychain but packing slip says same as yours. I sent an email anyway inquiring.
So this makes me wonder, what about people who pre-ordered new bags friday and saturday? I sure as hell hope madcatz set aside gold keychains for those since they aren’t shipping those yet and they were touting the keychain with sales of these bags. I ordered a bag Friday 7/29.

That’s how it went. The packing slip info that says ‘FREE KEYCHAIN’ is just an instruction to our warehouse workers to pack a keychain if it was available. That’s all it is. You have to understand we received hundreds of orders that weekend, and for us to manually check each one, it would have been a logistical nightmare. Sure we could have planned/counted for it, but in this case we didn’t. Apologies if this offends you.

I ordered it pretty early friday, so I thought I had a pretty good shot at getting one. Also, the commentators were still pimping the promo (w the keychain) friday evening, so it seemed like there was still some left. Was this promo only good for the “EVO2011” code, or any weekend orders in general??
My main complaint was the fact that the packing sheet said free keychain, yet there was clearly nothing there. I’m sure that others were in the same situation, so hopefully they got their answer now. Is there no way to track the 1st 300 orders via online or something, then erase the comments starting with 301?
Last question…Was the people who preordered the stick bags in the equation when dishing out the keychains? or did they use all them up filling out the orders that were ready to ship out? Beaker had a good point.
I finally got a chance to order the Kombat Fightstick plate and have to say that it is VERY VERY GOOD. I have been using a IL modded PDP stick and right away noticed a huge difference in my execution with the switch to Sanwa. The ergonomics are very good and it’s been a blast to use so far.
Again, sorry about the fuss, just wanted to touch on a couple points, and thank you MarkMan for taking the time to listen to us and respond back with a straight up answer. I’ve seen MCZ come from a company that makes truly shitty china controllers to the Stick leader they are today, and know that you had a huge part in it.

I got that order in right when I saw them on the stream, they look friggin amazing.
i got mine today, had minor scratches here and there, but nothing major.
also recived a golden te keychain so yay for me :).

I just received my stick! I was lucky enough to get a gold keychain as well. The only thing I’m disappointed in is how they attached the artwork to the stick. It seems like it’s held on by the 6 screws on top, and that makes it warp in a few spots, but overall I’m pleased. #2707/5000

Finally got a CSR on the phone this morning after being on hold for 20+ min. They will be sending me a new stick and a label to ship my damaged stick back to them. It was a pain to get a hold of somebody but they came through in the end. Hopefully, the replacement stick will be in better condition.

They charged me for my bag I pre-ordered, so im guessing it’ll be sent soon? What was the concrete release date for those? All I heard was mid August
August 12th is the ship date we are aiming for.
Can anyone tell me if the wait 10-14 days for delivery starts from when you place an order or from when they actually get around to shipping out your order?
Quick question for those who got a free gold keychain… What time did you guys place your order?
I tried to order when they first announced the promo on the stream Friday morning, added items to my cart, and then when I tried to checkout, the site crashed. About 5 minutes later, MadCatz had a disclaimer on the site that said they would be down for an hour, but I kept refreshing and it was back up sooner, and then I completed my order.
I ended up placing my order at Friday, 7/29/2011 at 9:34am PST (12.34pm EST), Order #200127955.
I thought I ordered in time, especially since I kept refreshing instead of waiting an hour like the disclaimer said, but maybe not…
