I actually replaced mine with M4 Nylon Phillips head screws that I coated with Vinyl Dye, they look just as good.
I believe someone already made a tutorial on wiring the TE to a db15 for easy swapping.
Next time you’re at the hardware store, pick up a multi-bit ratcheting screwdriver plus some hex bits to fit your TE and other stuff. These are handy as hell and will make your DIY life easier. I agree that allen wrenches can be awkward.
You can get them from LizardLick. You need the adapter piece too.
A cheap tool kit I got free from opening a bank account has worked wonders for all my mechanic, DIY, arcade stick projects. The bits inside are odd and hard to find pieces!

Hey MarkMan if you wanted you could point people in the direction of my tutorial thread where it shows people how to wire up their TE to a DB15 and then their control panels to a DB 15 as well for easy swapping, I will be finishing it up shortly and i can show people easy it would be to swap for your panel as well. Thanks. Not exactly sure just yet. Probably just basic functionality, etc. I am old school, so as i say this still without trying this out, i prefer the old school layout, mainly because I prefer to play on cab. But i am more than willing to try this out and promote the hell outta it too.
I think Nick and I might focus on making it feel more old school despite the smaller layout.
cool me and I am also trying to get Soarer5 help me with the video of side by side comparison of old and new and do a little bit of game play tech explaining the layout and why it is set up the way it is also explain the use of run and block buttons to the new guys there has not been a true arcade-esc version of Mortal Kombat since 4. I also have connections to one of the Mortal Kombat champs this guy bill who basically made a living off winning Mortal Kombat Tournaments back in the day. I will try to get some input from him unfortunately he moved to Texas.
