If any Mortal Kombat community member/tech talk member that is willing to make a video showing how easy it is to put these together for the community, I’d be willing to send one panel off to them in advance as thanks. Please let me know.
Please note, these are limited to 300 per platform for the initial production run.
Are you talking about making a method to easily swap panels?
For example, making a DB15 cable for easy connection when swapping panels?
Or Cat5 cables with RJ45 jacks and couplers. <----- my personal favorite since I have so many extras parts laying round.
I think if swapping is going to be the method of choice for the masses a way to remove the panel by hand would be good.
If you can produce thumb screws for easy access that would great. Here are some example of what I’m talking about.
Having to remove the screws with a Hex wrench is not a lot fun.
Good luck with the new panels. I hope to see more layout options in the near future.
And is Mad Catz going to produce a new stick with the foot print of the SE model but with a flat top? I like the size of the SE for casual play but never got used to the slanted front. Growing up in the arcades I always dealt with flat tops.
Hey I pm’ed you an idea of a comparison video I would like to do of old and new layout and explanation of button layout and how is works for mortal kombat I am friends with the old top tier mortal kombat player bill and have been playing Mortal Kombat since the first installment
I really doubt that they would do a replacement panel for the SE the stick is not built for that The SE is not “meant” to have a removable top plate only the TE is
edit: I notice now that you were speaking of a new fightstick in a SE form factor I thought you wanted a replacement panel for it lol…but a new SE fightstick is possible. But I doubt it considering button layout and I doubt they would make a modified SE with a flat panel for Mortal Kombat but you never know but I don’t think they have the license for MK so it would be a generic stick
