Apparently Machinima is being the worst network in terms of support for their partners unless you can get millions of subscribers.
It kinda makes me not want to see any more videos of Machinima partners, but that would include channels I follow like Maximilian.
This is messed up.
Should’ve called out Machinima Mike Watson style, but other than that screw Machinima literally anyone can get in which explains why over half of their content is trash and with so many channels under them your sub box is flooded with trash and its hard to find something worth your time.

How much is in a YT check off of 20k+ views each vid? Didn’t think you can live off that bread alone and not be pewdiepie or even Rad Brad level.

Yea i keep meaning to un-sub to them if only because my damn sub box is full of crap i dont even want to watch with a smattering of interesting stuff here and there. It’s fucking annoying.

yeah i have no idea how the pay structure varies. i know soulja boy was getting a penny per view in like 2007-08. so 20k views is 200 bones under that pay structure. not bad for shit you can do from just sitting around and turning on a camera, but that may vary. i doubt randoms are even getting a penny per view. soulja boy is a rapper, and was at a pretty high point in his popularity back then, able to bring in millions of views easily, which is tons of ad time to cram down peoples throats.
As far as I know, when you’re a youtube partner you get around a dollar for every 1000 views.
I’m not sure if Machinima offers a better deal or not. I think their sales pitch is that they have less requirements than youtube to become a partner.
A cruel practice I feel. Prey on people who want to get started and not even offer real support for copyright strikes and stuff like that.
Funny part is that IIRC, DSP (Who yes, is ridiculously terrible and should be laughed at) said about 4 years ago that he wouldn’t sign with Machinima for the reasons this guy stated above.
But of course, no one listens to DSP, because that’s like listening to Miss Cleo, and it’s better coming from a guy that’s experienced how crappy they are.
I have zero knowledge on how youtube works in regards to views, but does becoming a partner in general open more opportunities of views than just uploading videos on your page?

If you’re a partner I think your video gets thrown onto peoples recommendations more and shit.
The real question is why watch other people play videogames when you could be playing them yourself? Show me those magical people who are so entertaining to justify this.

Pretty sure all the partners suck. Machinima being the worst of the bunch but heard Maker wasn’t much better maybe just slightly better.
