I figured what I was doing wrong right after I posted :(.
Question: I did something funky the other day while being lazy after comboing into battering ram. I don’t know if I can replicate it or if it was a glitch.
So anyway I did a standard air magic series into slime battering ram, steered away for a second then back so the combo meter kept going. MODOK apparently recovered in time from the ram since I was doing horizontally to relaunch the opponent and combo in more hits. Now I don’t know how many more hits I could have gotten but it almost seemed like hit deterioration was reset because everyone kind of went WTF?!? Has anyone else messed with comboing after the battering ram? I kind of replicated it but its hard timing and I can’t seem to figure out consistently when it will let MODOK recover fast enough to combo.
Another amusement: Granted you can probably do much more damage wise, after 3H, you can do 4 cubes in a row in the corner with little issue, is there more applications to this move? I mean I can’t just wing 4 cubes without an assist off any single move besides this.

I always knew HBR was +4 or more on hit, but I never bothered to try and do it meaty and see what I could do after it… and man, it’s GOOD. Modok may actually be a viable anchor now even, if what you stumbled onto can be used reliably.

Interestingly enough, MODOK seems the easiest character for me to play. Maybe I don’t play enough fighting games.
Anyways, I noticed that if you stand right up against Wolverine and to the 2b, it goes over his head and the puddle hits on the other side. Anyone know if this counts as a crossup?
Trying to get into MODOK but man it’s rough. I just plain panic when rushdown characters are up in my face. Nothing feels like a “good idea” at that point. I know the goal is to not let them in there to begin with but man that seems hard. I suppose a gtfo assist would help, but man I really don’t want to pick someone just for their assist. :wonder:
^For that reason, I think it’s best to play MODOK as an offensive character.
I think Modok has lots of trouble with rushdown too, especially because of the stupid 6 frames of no-block on jump, so you just have to block it out… With all the crazy rushdown/teleports/crossups in this game, it can be pretty tough…
You can’t get smothered, because I think Modok sucks at dealing with it, and you’re probably not going to b able to maintain keepaway against good characters, because they have so many good tools to blow that shit up. So I think a ranged hit and run type of game is what you want to be going for…
…A gtfo me assist doesn’t hurt either. 
…And Maiz, a puddle behind them doesn’t hit crossup, they always just have to block the point character.

Has anyone else noticed that you can cancel normals with LoU barrier? It doesn’t work with regular barrier of course.

Maybe forward h barrier corner reset? Can characters roll recover past it? I like the barrier keeping them from moving
They have to super jump because tech rolls or air tech won’t allow you to get past the EX Barrier. In fact, one of the best benefits of the EX barrier air techs is that it can control air techs so that MODOK can grab you.

yeah they can. ground roll recover I don’t know about air recover over it though
