For anybody interested, Trag is about to go into the lab with MODOK and try to get some good combo shit going. It’s really awesome to watch this dude work, his execution is so tight and he’s hella creative.

modok has a 630k one bar from anywhere. i think the dude is broken (e…g read top tier) cause of that best flight in the game (assists while flying) + wave dash.
S -> sj M -> sj H -> sj S -> 2+L+M+H x 3 -> 2+M -> S -> sj M -> sj H -> sj S -> 2+M -> ram super.
and if they teleport on the ground behind you, you’re fucked
Yeah if anyone lets you hit them with modok’s regular S then they probably suck enough to beat them without this combo
what do you mean? he has the best throw in the game IMO and can land his S right after the throw via wave dashing forward (mash 2+L+M)

Actually you can land it right after MODOKS standing light, and you can easily land that on anyone who tries to jumpin on you if your shiled is there. Works like a charm on sentinel and he’s supposed to be pretty tough
Is wesker the only person capable of doing this? Staying still is a pretty bad gameplan vs wesker anyways. I’d think being extremely mobile and leaving analyze cubes all over while calling assists would work really well. MODOK can hit sentinel out of his assist pretty easily with psionic blaster. Doom’s assists stay out forever and shield can give you the power to ignore them
Hardest person i think for MODOK to deal with is probably wolverine
Wesker’s teleport distance is always a set point from himself – he can’t teleport in on MODOK (or hell, even really get close) if MODOK zones him out properly. Once you push Wesker to the opposite side of the stage w/ psionic blasts, barriers and cubes, there’s almost nothing he can do; the only thing you have to do is keep up your barrier (for his samurai edge teleports) and keep an eye out for Maximum Wesker. Once Wesker gets in close, abuse L cube and push block him all day.
Wolverine is definitely a bitch, as his berserker barrage keeps him up close and MODOK’s s.L whiffs on him pretty often. This is where a really good gtfom assist comes in handy.

Could one of you be kind enough to note down a mid screen bnb in street fighter notation? This anime numpad crap is really inconsistent and confusing.
So best case scenario, wesker is the only person capable of teleporting low and behind you, but that’s only if you’re static and predictable. I guess that’s theory though, because good weskers can move FAST but L cube is always the safest thing to do, after all it can teleport too.
MODOK is such a gem. Mike ross and marn etc are all talking about how awesome sentinels assists are etc etc and MODOK can pretty much ignore anything sentinel can do full screen and constantly punish the assist. His psionic blast starts up faster than mouth blast, and kills all the drones

i wish there was a way to make modok fall faster he finishes a air combo. i’ve tried that A+S and it has a long cool down (still haven’t tried it fully). i’m thinking you can dash down but it’s not anything like doom’s S cancel (which is complete bullshit btw).
i’m thinking of mashing L and seeing what happens.
Body attack downward? Got some cooldown though.
if you guys have the official guide, modok has some million+ corner only combos that only take 2 bars.
it relies upon getting 3 LOUs and then using hyper psi (3 LOU super leaves them OTG) then 2+M canceled into hyper ram.

Ive been working on this combo for a bit and i was wondering how else it could be optimised cause the finisher that i put in brackets is shit lol. Using numpad notion cause i find it easier.
5L > 5M > 2H > 6H > H cube > dash > IAD > j.S > Lcube (> S > sj.M x2 > sj.S > OTG 2M > hyper battering ram) for about 550k damage.
Sorry if its already been done >.> lol.

stole the OTG 2B, 214D, D from traj.
i think this will combo from anywhere (non corner).
D > sj BCD > wavedash > OTG 2B, D > sj BCD (or just BD) > wavedash > OTG 2B cancel into 214D (flight), D > 6C (wallbounce) > finisher (does close to 500 no bar used at all)
finisher can be anything really. you can relaunch but you won’t get anymore hits (hitstun scaling). you can hyper psionic blaster and might get the otg 2b into hyper ram. i just can’t seem to get anymore hits after the 6C. you have a lot of time after the 6C to do whatever you want.
