Thought I would share a way to combo 9 cubes after a throw in the corner for over 800,000 damage…

your absolutely right, and thats what ive been doing for the time being. Just being able to send them to the ground for a further extension on the combo would have been nice. Although, I imagine that its possible to get around 4-5 cubes off midscreen, which im happy with.

Got my first bit of M.O.D.O.K. related hate-mail today. After beating someone with nothing but Psionic Blaster and Shield (those are literally the only two moves I did), I got a message of “you are a f*****”.

My response?

I’m gonna create a thread just for MODOK hatred, seems appropriate.

deadpool and MODOK must be a pretty annoying team to play against. With deadpools low hitting assist that quick overhead the MODOK has manages to find some use, and Deadpools keepaway is pretty badass with MODOK as well

I love it when Dante does a stinger straight into a barrier and gives me a free Killer Illumination.

Also Hyper Battering Ram is amazing, I KO’d a Dark Phoenix player by just punishing her once with it.

Played 20 matches or so vs Gootecks last night, gotta say She-Hulk (bless her heart) is a fucking NIGHTMARE for MODOK. AA hyper into fat combo UGH. You literally can NOT be in the air anywhere near her. Maybe his reactions were just really good, but FUCK he kept catching me even if i just baaarely left the ground for flying H.

im going to try this tonight…ive gotten 3 cubes from a standard corner trap but I did not know there where TK inputs for MODOK’s cube…

team is Ammy/Wekser/MODOK with Chris/Sentinel/MODOK as alternate

Ive been using body attack for get aways since midnight launch…lol

anyway to combo into KI?..also I have not even considered some set-ups for his lvl 3.

Im a meter whore…(uses meter on hit confirms.lol)

what are people doing against teleporters?

cubes…and green glop…mountain dew or what ever the hell kids are calling it…

if its an overhead teleport I throw out a quick M cube and do standing H…this pushes them back into the cube or body attack up…

if its straight ahead then im going for an KI on reaction…if caught several weskers with this.my timing is pretty good on it.

I can try to space with assists as well…

or go with the troll answer of pushblock and Haggar…

I’m still really confused on how to play MODOK. Most of the videos I’ve seen thus far are combo videos, but there’s little on how his gameplan works.

Is he a keep-away character? He’s got the zoning abilities to do so, but should he rush down too or something?

So confused, what do you guys do?

What if they teleport behind? And above teleport i would think is generally too fast for m cube then standing H

i actually really like it when people ragequit me, cause i know they’ll get what’s comin. nyahahaha

yea but it sucks cuz i swear i got put into that shit after comcast booted me. i got a warning thing and everything. im still pissed about it.

From what ive seen its up to the player. He has both good rushdown and zoning. I guess the real determination of what play you want comes from what assists you chose.

Would anyone be willing to create a combo thread? It’s really difficult to find combos for this guy, and going through 19 pages of this thread isn’t that helpful.

I would create one, but I have no idea what I’m doing in this game and would probably not be the right person for the job.

It would be great if we could get some videos of Modok’s rushdown. I play him pure zoning, but I’d really like to see what the other, more aggressive players do.

if they teleport above and in front, I find that psionic blast spam will usually hit them. if they teleport above and behind, you could try dropping an L Cube and then block to push them into it. I find L Cube really messes with rush down, since it recovers so quickly you can block almost rightaway and lasts long enough that afterwards, you can push block them into it and begin L Cube spam to screw w/ their offense.

Not sure if this has been posted already, but I found that in the corner after a throw, you can OTG at least twice.

Throw into corner > c.M > S > sj.M > sj. M > sj.S > c.M > S > sj.M > sj.M > sj.S > c.M

At this point, hit stun decay kicks in enough that you can’t relaunch them after the 3rd c.M (they block in the air) – or maybe you can and my timing is really bad.

Hopefully you guys can get more out of it than I can; I’d experiment more, but I have unnaturally dumb fingers, lol.

did you try hitting the hyper body attack after the last c.m?
