VTCs on SKs for extended combos
CCH on st.hk and df.hp
Teleport dash in regular mode
Startup buff on Inferno for comboing into it
Easier to combo into super off as you can cancel the last hit of SK

Loads of damage nerfs
cr.hp kind of sucks now
Blast has a much smaller range
Backthrow seems to toss away further
cr.mk doesn’t link into mediums, just lights

df.hp is one hit
Damage nerf is pretty much across the board. Necalli seems to do more damage than some other characters, but that’s by his character design I think. I guess R.Mika is pretty up there in damage too if you count her V Skill
Bison does a lot less than the other new characters though; I’m finding 400s (498 so far off a df.hp CCH with VTC and Super) with all meters tops. Most can break 500, often without having to have two full meters to blow.
That said, I don’t really mind the damage nerfs, I’m just irritated with the cr.hp change
I do mind the damage nerfs because he was designed as a damage dealer that’s why they give him such poor walkspeed in the first place despite being a charge character. Why a character that was designed to be a damaging beast get a damage reduction this severe, I don’t mind small decrease in damage but not like this.
He never really did Nash damage though in the first beta though. He still does above average hit confirm damage (off plus mediums with great range) if you blow any meter for EX SK and gets a HKD out of the deal.
I do think it’s kind of silly that Vega is doing more damage than him though
i could see this character being ok if they make one more adjustment to him somewhere across the board. either give him his original cr.hp back, or even make it so his regular psycho blast is more like his ex one so he can zone a little bit or something.
I would be 100% satisfied with this character with his old cr.hp. He doesn’t need Psycho Shot back, and quite frankly I don’t think it would be that great unless it was as slow as the EX one.
1- Give him back his AA c.hp. I can’t understand why they would take this away.
2- Teleport backdash, for consistency. It can be balanced.
3- I think the damage on Blast is too low.
Can someone please confirm the differences between VT Teledash and regular teledash whenever they can. Appreciate it.
Oh wow, another buff and a really nice one: air EX HS in VT now does a HKD. So always do the LK SK xx EX Inferno xx EX HS if you have meter. You can also do regular Inferno xx EX HS in VT if you either only wan to spend one meter or catch them with a Hell Attack
Had to sign in to vent my anger… Bison is pathetic, they seem to have nerfed his frame data on his pokes but may just be the fact he gets pressured to feck and is more prone to jump-ins now than in sf4. No way to stop constant jump monkeys… first beta I destroyed and tbh was expecting nerfs because of all the cry babies, well it looks like they got their wishes but Capcom just lost a customer… screw SFV.
Also I don’t know if its lag or wot but he has terrible recovery off his dash now… seems awfull delay before I can press any attack button after a forward dash… seriously not happy… if people thought he was broke before now he is Seriously broke in a bad way… pathetic capcom.
Interesting. Because I was LK Scissors for free on block and no one was punishing and I fought more than a few decent players. When you say that it’s unsafe do you mean that it’s a free punish with low foward or Sweep or just with super for certain characters?
His cr.HP is worthless now. st.HK as an AA is okay, not great, not horrible.
I can’t really find too many reasons to use his V-Trigger It looks like he can be hit out of the teleports while in that mode which nullifies the purpose for me.
Psycho Inferno is just dumb. I don’t get the purpose of it.
I liked that he could do jMP, MP into LK Scissors juggle and then end with EX Head Stomp. But if the player can quickrise and he gets out of the EX Head Stomp, why the fuck is it there? It just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Plus, why waste meter when his super is so GDLK? I kind of wish that you were able to stock 2 supers in this game so you can have some fun with the EX moves.
Really hard to tick throw with him, everyone is ready to mash jab to stop that. So I’ve been trying to do a tick and then doing st.HK to counter it with a little success.
c mp is still a very strong poke. s hk did not change in terms of properties or hitbox (I think) but since it cch now, it is better. s mp is also a good counterpoke.
forget about c mk or s mk, they both suck. You’re not supposed to play this like SFIV or ST.
