Dictator has World Warrior/Champion Edition properties in his knee press/scissor kick special move

What does this mean? Near infinite blockstring?

My original starting point was his dash turning into a teleport outside of V-Trigger. I love that, but if they take away its extra properties such as passing through projectiles and/or crossing up, that would be stupid visuals-wise. Like, really stupid. Then again, if they kept its properties, everyone who mains characters other than Bison will start whining (not that they don’t as is) and ask that they replace that teleprot dash with his regular dash. So, I think keeping the teleport a V-Trigger exclusive is the right decision. Mind you, I LOVE it when Bison is depicted as the badasss boss he is. Heck, I think his regular playstyle should be what he’s like in V-Trigger now and the new V-Trigger should give him something else like maybe better visuals for the CA, flight or something else altogether. But whiners gonna complain, so…

I hope bison stays epic so I can tier whore tool actual characters i care to play are released, long live the bison army!

No knock down after the move and it’s safe…

So, from the videos filmed in Red Fight District of the Karin build, I see Bison’s 3HP command normal comboing into c.MP once again.

I was under the impression that ever since the move had become 1 hit only it didn’t really link into anything decent. Was I wrong, or was it changed? I was kinda bummed that Bison’s only normal that advances his positioning had been nerfed to shit, but seems like if it still links to c.MP then maybe it still has use?

Anyone heard anything new on the move’s frame data?

It’s safe on hit, it’s negative on block. Since Zangief is confirmed, you can bet that you’re going to eat an SPD for poor spacing if it’s blocked.
WW/Championship edition scissors were advantage on hit and safe on block. Wish he was that good here.

I think it’s supposed to be used as a gap closer for punish (they whiff a psychic dp in footsies, you 3HP, c mp xx scissors) or to advance while in footsies. It’s slow, but it moves you forward a lot, and if they’re focusing on your s mk/c mp, they won’t be expecting the extra range of the 3HP, since it’s essentially a half-screen attack.

Bison can also cancel his EX-specials into each other without having a charge in V-Trigger. Its pretty amazing.

You know what made the SF2 incarnations of Dictator good? You didn’t know if he was going to head stomp, devil’s reverse, or normal jump until it’s almost too late, in most cases, too late!

Well now you won’t know if he is gonna headstomp or reverse until it is too late. And with V-Trigger it’s already too late.

Glad to hear they may have made sk safe again. Things were looking bad for him for a while.

Now my only gripe is that I wish they wish they would fix the input for sk and let both df and forward trigger it. That caught me a lot during the beta due to muscle memory. Surprised it hasn’t been fixed yet. Otherwise, things are looking good again.

Too bad he won’t be in the upcoming beta. Footage of Bison is diminishing, and he’s not popular in the preview builds, so I would have liked to have seen some new vids and a closer look at his new properties. I can understand the reasoning behind keeping him out, though.

The preview builds always tend to focus on the newer characters. It’s nothing personal against Bison.

And yeah I hope they fix that df/f thing. It’s very significant for continuing to maintain the charge.

So long as it grants enough time to get a back charge from the link to cr.mp I don’t think it will be a huge issue, but I would like the two hits back solely for breaking armor. That said, if he can cancel cr.mp into Inferno as a QCB it isn’t too big a deal if he can’t get charge as it just means you lose the great positioning that MK/EX SK grants (I don’t know how good the positioning is on Inferno as I hardly used it in the beta due to how hard it was to combo into).

We were actually referencing how you can’t do b, df+k to do SK, not his command normal. (Maybe you quoted the wrong post?)

I didn’t mean to imply some sort of conspiracy against Bison. His walk speed will naturally turn newer players away from him who just want to get in and push buttons, which is fine. He requires a patience that other characters don’t need, at least at lower levels of play, so he won’t get as much play as others. (And of course the expected focus on newer characters.)

This isn’t the first time this problem has happened. This problem existed on launch for SFxT for all charge characters (Guile suffered the most), and they patched it out in the first week or so. I think they may be aware of the issue but not changing it between location builds because it is a small change, and in the grand scheme of things, an unexciting change.

That’s normal for projectile characters like Guile. Why else would he be unable to flash kick after throwing sonic boom?

Allowing charge moves to end at d/f is unusual for SF. You have some exceptions, of course.

Bison’s non-trigger forward dash is still his psycho warp as of BGS!!! It appears to be unchanged during V-trigger. Still looks sexy as FUCK!!! Orgasms start at 4:40. :slight_smile:

Psycho Inferno also appears to be narrower (the flames I mean, they look smaller but this could just be the lp or mp version).
