Am I the only one that wishes they left SFxT ground bounces in here for some more extended combos?
All the combos in this game are mad boring.
And Vtriggered inferno is godlike. If they left it unchanged in the newer builds, you should be canceling into it cuz it seems real safe and you can confirm it into EX-Scissors.
If it really depletes faster I’d be sad.
I’m still not seeing enough people use the new df.HP or regular s.HP. The range on s.HP is so good despite it’s start up.
St.hp was unsafe on block in the beta though
People say that ground bounces aren’t Street Fighter, but it seems wall bounces are ok. I never really got that.
I think this video shows how bad scissor kick is now

why Vegas´s rolling attack is SAFE, when he is faster than Bison??? Capcom has to reverse these changes, It is so stupid!!!
because they’re different characters, with different movesets, representing different character archetypes, at different stages of their development cycle
I feel like they’re struggling a bit with Bison, because his identity in old builds was “crouching medium punch canceled into special: the character”. Like, of all the characters, he was the most one-dimensional, and I feel like they’re leaning hard into trying to break that playstyle.
I think they want Bison to play a bit more like SF4 Cody or Dudley up close, and use his normals more. Dudley’s towards medium kick is 8 frames start-up, +5 on hit, +3 on block. Bison’s standing roundhouse is… drumroll… 8 frames startup, +5 on hit, +3 on block. I think Capcom saw people just endlessly looping crouching medium punch into psycho inferno and scissor kicks and asked themselves the question: how do we stop this and make people use his normals. So they made them unsafe when done close up as pressure.
They want him to be a frame trap character up close, not a chip-out pressure character, so they’re dismantling his ability to do that.
It’s confusing and obvious at the same time depending on how you look at it.
Confusing if you look at him outside of V Trigger. In the sense that in his normal form he plays like Makoto without command grab and better buttons.
Obvious when you realize that his movement is purposely limited normally since they are designing the V Triggers to give you 2 different characters. They want you to unlock his movement by activating his V Trigger so you can move him around like a Guilty Gear characters with Slayer dashes and teleporting DRs and scissors kicks.
With Inferno being QCB, no reason not to throw it out and cancel at that good range. Especially with Vtrigger up, you can confirm into EX-Scissors for knockdown setups.
they already nerfed vega since that build anyways iirc.
can someone confirm this: people have been saying that bison’s scissor kick is now safe again but I can’t find any sources ???
Max said that he thinks Bison is still the best in the game. This is terrible news because the whining will reach a fever pitch nd he will be nerfed!
I hope that’s true cerberus.

This is concerning. It seems like a lot of people on social media are convinced with how strong Bipson is, but it seems there’s people here and other sites who don’t think he’s gdlk. If he is being overhyped that doesn’t bode well for him towards release. We’ll see.
Alucard did have that 100 something win streak with him at Evo, but I think that could have been done with Cammy or Ryu or anyone else if someone really put their mind to it. Every character has already been changed a lot since then any way.
Scissor kick being safe again is good. Not sure what they were thinking making his go to pressure tool unsafe. He might as well have not had it at that point. People are already complaining enough as it is with the over difficulty of locking people down and making people respect normals.
Bison has many ways to remain safe after a blockstring. Scissors -3 never concerned me. What botherss me is his DF+HP. I hate useless moves.
Bison is really good until people realize they don’t have to hit buttons; they can just let him either push himself out of range or SK in which leaves him at disadvantage. He just doesn’t have a tick throw game so if you play it patient there’s very little he can do. Pretty much one of the ultimate noob killers but he’ll fall off faster after that

Yeah gives me deja vu of SF4’s early days all over again. I don’t think he falls faster after that so much as the strategies that work against newbs are easy to pull off and don’t work as well (or at all really) at higher levels. Bison’s a character that’s a bit of a workhorse IMO, you really have to put in the effort to beat opponents. This was especially true in SF4 and I think it will be true in SF5 when we start seeing high level plays a few months to a year after release. It’s a quality I like in him, and in charge characters actually.
Anyway, I hope Capcom take this fact you mentioned into consideration before they decide to nerf him.

That’s why I feel his V Trigger is going to be the big factor in what truly makes him good or not. If it is something that is a real game changer for him in every match (since it fixes his movement and mix up issues) then he may be alright where he is. If its too much trouble to build meter for and you’re burning it on V Reversals, may be tough.
COMPLETELY 100% off topic but:
bruh, deviljin you’re still ready for evo 2k14 ?
Been ready. Just gotta jump back in the time machine.
Seriously, just haven’t figured anything worth changing my sig for yet. I already know I’m maining Chun so far in SFV and pretty much everyone and their mom is gonna have SFV so, yeah. If I think of something I’ll change it.
I haven’t played KI in like 2 months since I sold my Xbone. Thinking about picking up another one, but not really in a rush to either. The game hasn’t had a new character in like 4 months, finding people to play online when I was playing it was difficult and there is like near 0 local scene for it. I think I’m just burned out on it since it was literally the only game I played for 2 years and SFV looks way more fun than IV ever was.
On topic. Bison walks like he’s in mud.

You made a spelling mistake but no worries I fixed it.
