I seen Bison but i dont see anything related to vega

Between the releases of SF3 New Generation and Second Impact, Capcom Japan had addressed in an interview various questions on the whereabouts of many fighters that didn’t show up in those games, and the interview was published in the SF3 Fanbook Gamest mook. Concerning Vega and Shadaloo they had noted that both are in ‘good health’ during the SF3 era.

With the SF4 era Vega’s alive and kicking, out to clean up messes such as Seth and possibly also Juri, out to replant his seeds into potential pawns such as Decapre and Abel, and still not at his Z3-level best. For him and Shadaloo not to be causing any overly conspicuous uproar during 2I and 3S yet be in good health, they’re still building up and biding their time for the best moment to publicly strike at the world again, third time’s a charm if you will.

Whether Vega’s full potential can be realized either by finally possessing Ryu’s body or by further purging himself of any lingering psycho power hindrances such as soul power, and taking CJ’s previous words into account, it would suck to happen before the SF3 curtain rises, but would be ideal for an awesome mammoth clashing of all sides should SFV be in 3S’ future.

Thanks for clarifying and I agree. It would be very anticlimactic if Shadaloo re-emerges before SF3 story wise as well especially after all the trouble SF4 went through just to keep them underground.

Kind of off topic, but I am hoping 5 takes place after 3. Enough throwback, kicking it old school style. The future is now!

I wonder if Bison may have projectile based moves like he did in SFA3.

I hope not, I don’t really like projectile Bison. I prefer the footsies and crazy air shenanigans style. Most people who play him who I’ve talked to seem to prefer that style as well.

It would totally fit him, but I want cooler modifiers than “more hitstun and free EX moves” while activated.

Obviously some characters will get this, but damn, look at Ryu extra hits on hadouken is something I think none of us saw coming!

I would just like to see a little bit more creativity. There are so many different possible modifiers on top of what we have seen.

Examples: increased juggle ability, increased chip/grey damage, increased teleport speed, easy guard breaks, reverse opponents inputs. Just to name a few off the top of my head.

Or am I crazy for wanting stuff like this in a main series SF game?

All I want at this point is Psycho Shot from Alpha. I’d be so fucking happy if that move makes a return.

If we’re talking about a traditional projectile Psycho Shot then no I don’t miss it and I don’t really think it fits Bison who has always had a very anti-projectile/shoto kit. But something like Jin Kazama’s Penetrating Fist or Dormammu’s Dark Hole, or the chargeable Psycho Cannon from SFEX where the distance, number of hits, and size of the projectile is determined by the charge time (not to mention it’s up close and AA growing hit box during said charging) could work out.

Even something like the sloth-like Psycho Sphere/Field from the Marvel cross overs is better than Alpha’s straight up projectile.

Alpha projectile = no go, lol. If he HAD to have a projectile, then it should be an animation during an Ultra or something, but not in normal, every day play. Even Jin style is probably not a good idea, then he becomes a ridiculously good footsies character with Sim range footsies, and about 4x the speed.

I agree Bison should NOT have a projectile, also because as now 3 out of 3 have it, push variety
The only i used to like was that no hit slow-little one that at some point of the screen explode into a “flower” of 3 big spheres (was in SFvsXmen iirc)

Something like Aegis Reflector (Psycho Shield?) would be pretty awesome, but his mobility would make it sooo broken, lol. Another good tool for him would be something like Zangief’s green hand, allow him to parry fireballs. But, he’d be broken, lol.

Psycho Vanish was basically that, but without forward movement

Considering Charlie has something of a teleport plus sonic boom, it’d already be redundant for Bison to have a fireball also.

@moonchilde Jin Kazama’s penetrating fist has some aegis reflector qualities and so does the Psycho Cannon from SFEX. The latter can be charged up and the more charge the more hits it does on the target all the while holding them in place for you to attack.

@Metroxylon I see where you’re getting at, but that would only be true if these were the only 4 characters. Psycho Banish would certainly be most welcome at this point to nullify these projectiles.

But Psycho Saber/Sever is a cheap knock off of Psycho Banish consisting off the second half the Death Tower throw animation. It’s doesn’t even have enough purple fire!!!

what about something more like decapre’s omega projectile?
