M.Bison Combo/Tech Thread: Psycho Power!

Can someone tell me what different versions of Headstomp and Devil’s Reverse do, both V-Trigger activated and inactive?

There is no difference between LK/MK/HK Head Press in either V-Trigger or non V-Trigger mod.
None V-Trigger Devils Reverse vertical movement is different between versions. The harder the strength of button used the further forward you can move.
There is no difference in V-Trigger mode.

Anti Ryu tech.

Ryu using S.LP after Psycho Axe to trade and reset to neutral?. Well thanks to the absolute garbage range on Ryu’s C.LP you can simply hold back to make it whiff. You should look for visual confirmation of Bison moving backwards and when you see it you should instantly perform S.LP/LK xx LP.Psycho Blasts which will whiff punish Ryu’s jab. Simply and easy to time and works off even from blocked Psycho Axes performed at point blank range. It is possible to whiff punish with harder strength moves but the timing is very strict and easy to mess up.

Alas this doesn’t appear to work on any other character with a 3 frame normal as they all have better range on their 3 frame normals.

Cr.mk should work too

has anyone figured out the highest damaging chip block strings during V trigger with 2 meters stock?

Not a true blockstring. There are gaps, but you can try:

I’d suspect its HK. Knee Press xx EX. Psycho Inferno, C.MK xx Psycho Inferno xx EX. Knee Press, S.LP xx Psycho Blast.
It can not be interrupted outside of V-Reversal or an invincible move. Out of the corner the opponent might be able to back dash after EX. Psycho Inferno to avoid the C.MK.

Plink HP with throw. It’s like a tiny tiny throw extension, but it works best off HK Knee Press on hit since it puts you deep in their face.

hey guys something’s been puzzling me hopefully someone can share some light. I know EX-DR is +13 on block and if you follow up with Axe it CC 3f jab. but i found sometimes after opponent blocked my Ex-DR and they jab interrupt my psycho axe or sometimes even throw me out of it. is it becuz my axe came out too slow or my spacing on Ex-DR block is not right?

@Nickim wath you should do VS tall chars is walk a bit after blocked EX DR and HK or grab, the prob is you might mess up the timing, in general I think this is a good option because they see you walk a bit and think a grab is coming, the grab or hit mix up is real here. Vs 3 framers I prefer to do this because after blocked Axe you can’t do much, the prob is it’s easyer to mess this up vs 3 framers.

The Concept is to have numerous ways to safely get into V-Trigger while also not running the risk of getting jabbed out of the setup. Very easy to confirm and if they block the Cr.MP before activation , the next Cr.MP beats the 3FR Jab as well.
