The bad games thread is replete with posts of people complaining about other player’s turbo use without hard and fast evidence. Here we have clear visual proof but it seems that when it comes to a “top” player affiliated to an influential clan people are as quiet as nuns. And if that wasnt bad enough people are making excuses and inventing reasons as to why he isnt a cheat.
People need to stop making excuses for Lyghts and let the man speak for himself.
What is it that convinced Phlush, what is this mysterious button technique known only to Lyghts out.
If Lyghts is innocent he should view this as an opportunity to make chumps of the people accusing him. Being dismissive and trying not to make it into an issue doesnt work cos it is an issue for anyone with eyes and a semblance of honesty.
Reality is he cant cos the video is clear proof that he used turbo in that video. And if he used it there then why not remix? Certainly I have felt he has used it on me to claw back wins. Others who state that they have never detected it? well its obvious that Lyghts is going to use it intelligently. I think it would be too blatant to use it on people close to him which may be why they havent detected it.
Lyghts is a decent player and has come on leaps and bounds from the rookie that i used to bash up for free. He has placed well in tourneys which is to be expected of someone with a modicum of ablity and who has given themselves over to the game in the way Lyghts has.
I’m not taking anything away from him, but at the same time we must acknowledge that he is a turbo user and there can be no debate on that in the light of the visual proof!!
Fact is for me and others like prodigy who know the real Lyghts from old, this comes as no surprise it is merely confirmation of what we already knew. Our memories go back a bit further than most cos we played HF. He comes with this safe as houses attitude but its all fake. A snake sheds its skin but it’s still the same old snake and sooner or later he will bite one of you, his so called friends. He only hates me cos iv exposed him for what he is from day one.
He accuses the Evo winner, one of his own teammates of turbo use, he used to boast how he was Caesars daddy and smashes him after kissing his backside for 2 years, the list goes on.

On a different note do major gaming competitions allow for macroing of buttons. Can you assign your throw to one button, your focus attack to one button? Personally it seems unfair but I dont know what is allowed or not. I do know that turbo is not allowed and again Lyghts play in tourneys and has not been kicked out for cheating.

I say this. I rather have proof from GGPO than here say or SF 4 replay vids. It was at one point people accused Wax of the same thing until he proved he mashes the fucc out of some things. Its not turbo i care about because on the real i beat him free when i actually play shit remix. But the fact he uses somthing he swears against is just bs.
Pad buttons are not as responsive as sanwa/seimitsu buttons, so to say throughout a match he could macro 1 button and get 15 inputs in less than half a second is absurd.
I’ve played Lyghts many, many times, on XBL and PSN, and I never saw anything that made me think turbo. I never had any trouble throwing him or reversing his throws. If he got some throws in on me it was because he did a good job setting them up. I think he catches so much crap because he’s good and he has a knack for rubbing people the wrong way, LOL. I enjoy playing him (and this is only online) so I don’t really care.
If more people spent as much time worrying about their own games as they did everyone else’s then we would all have much better competition.
I did bro. For the love of me I couldnt get into SF4. I tried but it was a no go. Once SSFIV came out I jumped on board. I think between the game running a little faster and the buffing of both Sim and Vega I was sold. Unfortunately since SFIV was out for a year I have been playing catch up but I’m getting there. Sim definitely needed the damage buff because if he ever got behind and he can and does it was tough for him to come back. I hope the nerfs if any for AE are not too drastic. Sim still has a quite a few bad matchups so we shall see. Vega is fun. His ultra 2 is nice. Unfortunately what I see so far with playing with Vega is he is a one trick pony. There has been talk of nerfing his Ultra 2 which seems crazy as it is very reliable to get off. Take that away and he might not be viable to use. Also they need to make taking off the mask worthwhile. I mean you can do that but to this day I dont think anyone has found really any use to want to do that. Also his claw comes off too quick.
I will be back on live hopefully this week. Prior to that I have been playing exclusively on PSN. I am a street fighter junkie as I have SSFIV on both systems. lol And the same with HDR. Well have to get some games in.
Anyways like Possum said put more energy into playing the games guys. It’s online so its not a big deal. If you truly think he is cheating then don’t play him. Myself as others have stated though do not have an issue with him nor do we think he’s cheating.

If people are cheating, that distorts the game in turn forcing me to play very differently. That is one reason we take such a hard line on turbo users. Whether or not you are able to deal with a turbo user is neither here nor there. Turbo is game changing and at worst game breaking. Now please explain the inputs we see on the video.
Same to Poison, no more stories, just explain how 15 inputs in a half a second is possible on a pad.
And to everyone else who still believes the earth is flat, before i read any more gushy posts declaring undying love for lyghts just address the video.
Stick solely to the video. If you believe what you see on the video is possible without turbo then say so and give your reasons. That goes out to you too Lyghts. Provide your explaination. And if you cant and you almost certainly cant then simply accept that he used turbo in that video. Stop lying to yourself and others. Then consider the implications for wider turbo use on remix.
Finally, Vanilla you are beyond help. It is clear you’ve been driven mad by the inumerable beatings you have sustained on remix but let me assure you, you are definately not a turbo user. You do have a very fast and overworked right hand though!!

Yeah, Lyghts Out definitely uses turbo. He taunts people during matches, talks shit, and accuses people of using turbo constantly. He even accused ME of using it. I can’t even get a reversal out half the time and have a hard time mashing real quick with my standard X-Box controller, so just because I predict his moves and throw him, he thinks I turbo.
Lyghts Out, how about you stop using that fucking turbo and play the game properly. Also, stop gloating whenever you win a match. You’re not that cold at this game, dude. I might not be the greatest, but I can definitely tell that without turbo, you’re nothing.

Im curious about these turbo’s that fucken madcatz products have…I mean seriously these are suppose to be tournament edition yet there are turbo’s on the stick & pads? SRK sponsors this shit & blows my mind, anyway to my question…
In major tournaments how strict are they in checking people’s stick/pad before a match starts? Do players test the other persons equipment before playing? Has there been people caught cheating?
I entered a tournament before & i remember not much regulation was there. Its almost like you had to police it yourself, some dude i was wrecking & then busted out akuma. I was like WTF, you cant use akuma & we had drawn out argument over it. I refused to play my match until someone let him know that akuma is banned in HDR.
NOw i realize i didnt even check to see turbo’s during events & notice people just went straight out & played their matches after button check. Im was wondering if people just went w/ the honor code. It would be pretty damn easy to get away w/ using turbo in tournaments because of these shitty madcatz products having ease turbo access to it.
