Fighting games are cheap entertainment, they last hundreds/thousands of hours and only cost $40-70. If you want to add the price of an arcade stick to that ($150) it’s still a good ass deal. If we talk about pure bang/buck, fighters and MMOs are probably the best in this regard (FPS multiplayer as well). How long does it take to save $40 over the course of the year? Let’s assume you are so extremely tight on money that you can’t buy the game right away but you know it’s coming a year from now. Saving one dollar a week will still let you buy the game. You can probably empty out your spare change into a jar and still come up with the money for a game. Seriously, saving money isn’t that hard.
Well that is the idea. You see, I can hand over currency in exchange for entertainment, goods and services. If I see something I want and I can afford to purchase it I shall do so. You keepin’ up?
and just as such, you guys will stay free at tournies forever.
ditto
double post
It is absolutely amazing that you could come up with that conclusion from their statements. You sir, are a fucking wizard.
So…by buying the game so they can play and practice, they’re free? So instead they should…not buy the game and not play it and by doing that they’ll win more? Help I’m confused.
trade your shit in and use that money towards the new version. you guys are talking like $40 is impossible to make. half of us spend waaaaaaaay more than that on drinks over the weekend, so don’t act like you know the value of money. you buy a game, you play it for a year, and all it costs you is $40, you talk like it costs 40 ball hairs.
Yeah I got nothing to add the others didn’t already say/ask. Good luck with your gimmick, Nick T…
What about that statement screamed “live at home?”
In fact everything you just stated with that sentence is a contradictory claim and is either (I’m hoping) being overtly sarcastic.
If you’re serious, I think its you who needs to be questioned about how “mature” you are in bill pay. Got a mortgage yet?
Point stands as the OP of that post flowed. Video games are a fucking luxury entertainment that is not required for your daily function. If an update is made to a game it is completely optional for you to buy it. I understand the complaint of “updates” in terms of how soon from a company standpoint you’re being price gouged, but I think anyone critiquing an argument there is nobody “forcing” you to buy this (supposed) update still stands.
LMAO! Me too. I knew that this was coming, so that’s why I held off of buying the original version. Plus I just got to laugh at the ones that purchased this title at a full $60 while shelling out tons of money for DLC, in which DLC characters (as well as new characters) may become unlocked from the start in the next version while selling the upgrade for $40.
He was giving out a few hints about it.
Oh come on, you can do better than that. At least use an insult that follows some sort of logical progression from the original commentary. Really disappointed in the caliber of trolling here lately.
^^^ exactly. it’s not like they sold you a broken game. just like everything else, it runs it’s course. it only feels like they’re nickel-and-diming you because of the speed at which the updates come out. dlc, patches and things like that have been around for a while, but were relegated to pc games. with the advent of consoles being online, now we’re afforded the luxury of lengthening the lifespan of our game by purchasing additional content. if you’re sitting there complaining about how capcom “ripped you off” by selling you a game that provided you 1000-plus hours of play, gave you the opportunity to experience of playing actual human competition online and was the catalyst for another hundred hours of entertainment via streams based on the game, all at the price of $60, it sounds like you’re the one that needs to cut the chord or ask for a raise in that allowance.
don’t buy the dlc, you still have the game you’re enjoying right now, but don’t expect a hand-out when they’ve more than fulfilled their obligation to entertain you and provide a quality product.
LOL it should be the community that should be fired then
I’ll gladly give Capcom more money for a new fighter that isn’t boring as shit.
I’ll hand myself a pink slip later ahahaha
But seriously I don’t recall that many people begging for an early release…
I’ll probably buy it as well. I don’t spend much on games other than fighters.
How popular is MvC3 in Japan anyway? Won’t that play a role in whether there will be a “Super” version, per say?
Seriously? NEXT YEAR?! Fuck that. I don’t wanna wait that long to play Frank West.
There’s not going to be a MvC3 Arcade Edition
