I really, really was hoping for Blade when this game came out. Instead we got X-23. I rather of had Wolverine’s son instead of X-23. Also, Blade would make Wesker his bitch. Never mess with a black man, especially a hybrid vampire one.

I think putting in him would add some more comedic value into the game, because right now people are just laughing AT the game instead of what’s in it. Make him play similar to Frank if Frank doesn’t make it in, otherwise just go to fucking town, who fucking cares. You know god damn well that they’re going to bastardize all the old characters you want, so might as well try and fuck up a new character instead.

If they ever put in Gambit, I just hope they dont make him slow in the mobility department. I kinda want him like Taskmaster, High Damage/Great Normals/average health for a well rounded character. I wouldnt mind if cajun strike causes a wallbounce, ABC combos cajun strike >royal flush would look pretty cool…

Now to throw a real dollar up in this and offer some real insight.
-Get rid of the annoying “echo” voice during the main matches. “Could this be it?” (mouse voice) I only want one announcer thank you.
-Modify the X-Factor. I seriously don’t mind it (and half the time I use it and then Team Hyper Combo when the other person is down to their last character just to be a dick), but it need some tweaking. I love the ideas of making the duration shorter or tweaking the benefits slightly.
-Change Wolverine somehow so I don’t have to see Day 1 combos from every freaking person who decides to play as him. Give him a few more options BUT change his damage slightly.
-Make some characters a living hell for Phoenix users. I’m using Taskmaster and his Legion Arrows are pretty good, but that’s only useful against an airborne Phoenix (or Dark Phoenix) who’s in the middle of throwing some fireballs. (Is Task the ONLY person with an air super that fires straight? Only characters I can see being useful against Lv3 Dark Phoenix is Magneto [Gravity Squeeze], Storm [Hail Storm, Elemental Rage], Task [Horizontal Legion Arrow], Spider-Man [Maximum Spider if you can sneak it in, Ultimate Web Throw if you can time it right], and that’s all on the top of my head.)
-Remake some stages from the previous MvC games. I would love to see Wily hopping around and yelling at the players.
-DLC Characters (Obviously)

Capcom - Strider Hiryu, Jin (Blodia Punch VS Bionic Arm anyone?), Classic Megaman [or Protoman], Frank West AND Chuck Green (you gotta admit that there would be some cool dialogue between them) and Megaman X (Zero has the Genmu Zero, give X the Nova Strike).
Capcom Villains- Wily (Battle Armor maybe?), Sigma, Krauser, Red Arremer, a boss from Bionic Commando, Final Fight, Viewtiful Joe, and Darkstalkers.
Marvel - Mysterio (could be kind of like Shang Tsung), Hawkeye (to compliment Taskmaster’s Bow and Arrow), Squirrel Girl (yeah I went there), Cloak and Dagger (someone actually had a good idea for them), and Dr. Strange (hell they mention him quite often already), as well as the obvious Gambit, Cyclops, and the other veterans]
-Make more options available in On-Line play. (Toggle X-Factor, Change Damage, Time, etc.)
-If no spectator mode, then change the lobby to something that will give a better idea of what’s going on.
-Costume DLC (“I’m a member of S.T.A.R.S.” Jill anyone?)
-Make some more “Unique Dialogue” (Task “Want me to show you how to use that sword?” vs Dante “So many moves, so little time.”)
-Add a “sub-boss” or another boss. Galactus is so easy on Very Hard surprisingly enough.
-More missions (something that either is doable for the newcomer, or a Replay so we have a general idea of how to perform the combo)
-More options in Training Mode (change the aggression and playstyle of the CPU [kind of like Dissidia if anyone has played that])
-And get rid of the rock remix of “I Wanna Take You For A Ride”. That always makes me want to rip my ears off T_T
You might be talking about mine where they take two character slots and can exchange combo on the ground. I’d love to see more characters that change the dynamic of the match like Phoenix - as long as it’s balanced.
Ryozo i like how the first item on your list is actually already in the game. You can remove her if you want in the options. In fact I am pretty sure the default setting is off since I had to turn her voice on.
I have it off too, but during online playing somehow it STILL comes up. Maybe my game is bust…
that is odd.
But maybe it’s something else, I don’t know. Doesn’t add or take away much, but it does get annoying fairly fast.
Kind of like how PTX and Gold Lightan take up two spots, Cloak and Dagger should be auto picked for each other. You can’t only pick one. But if you could pick them separately, then ONLY they can switch out during a ground combo. But the opposition can Break out of it (like the Team Aerial Combo Counter) so it won’t be broken as hell. But I think what would be kind of cool (and I apologize since I don’t know very much about these two) is that when one dies, the other goes into “Berserk Mode” gaining a damage boost for a limited amount of time (and costing no meter). But to keep it balanced: no blocking or X-Factoring (unless you’re the absolute last person), and tagging out or TAC will cancel the Berserk Mode out and you’ll be back to normal, minus the tag team. (Or even X-Factoring during the Berserk Mode will cancel the effects.)
And I could see a Hyper Combo that takes 2 levels, but involves both of them. Might seem complicated, but I think they could get it to work out. (or something like Batsu where the survivor is crying while the ghost of the other helps out with the super lol)
And if they were to use only one health bar, they could play as either Ice Climbers from Brawl or Chang and Choi where you mainly control one person (and the other person has some attack commands), or Tekken Tag Style where you press Down, Down, S to change between the two of them (with still the same health bar or something).
Level 5 for both of them after reading up on their powers. Cloak “absorbs” the opponent (kind of like Dormammu’s Dark Dimension). But while in the dark, Dagger creates a crapton of daggers and it completely destroys the enemy (takes away a huge amount of life).
Something close to this (from Kingdom Hearts but unavoidable and the daggers ACTUALLY hit)
You can turn off the annoying mouse announcer in the options.
Um, the last thing you need to worry about in a Marvel game is throws not being good enough. There are plenty of ways to “fix” a character like Felicia, including straight juggle after throw (countless Marvel characters, including Doom, Charlie, Tron) or, if you’re lazy, plain old unrollable knockdown (Photon Array, pre-MVC2 Kinetic Card or Gambit throws).
In exchange, every character has a litany of command normals, causing much more unwanted input overlap. If I try to do c.L-c.M-c.H-Spidey Swing with Taskmaster, I have to hold d/f because otherwise (if I’m holding straight down), QCF+H comes out with alarming frequency.
I expect that such an example will be pooh-poohed as “lern2input”, so I’ll also cite a much more pervasive issue: special move overlap. With practically every special/super in the game being QCF/QCB/DP/RDP motion, I have yet to find a way to input QCB from a standing block. (Yes, B->HCB still registers RDP.) Specifically, in the case of Dormammu, I cannot charge (or release) dark spells if I’m blocking. That is a problem that wouldn’t exist if Liberation and teleport were on different buttons.
Other than Taskmaster, there’s Ryu, Phoenix, Modok, and Arthur (not really an air hyper, I know, but you can jump while using it and it fires straight).
Also Mags has Magnetic Tempest, but that just flies everywhere.
Am I missing anyone?

Amaterasu, but Phoenix hits her out of that so easily.
Morrigan, but she has a HUGE lag before the missiles actually fire out.
Everyone else has theirs angled in some way rather than straight ahead.
It’s useless to talk about Cable (or Commando) being in this game. There would be no point.
Look at Ryu’s DP assist. It was mediocre in MVC2 and they made it ten times worse in MVC3. If Commando was in this game, corridor assist would be like Jam Session, but worse.
Similarly, imagine a Cable where grenades lose to any other projectile (just like photons do now), normal fierce gunshots lose to any projectile, viper beams are not steerable and are immediately canceled if any super projectile is on screen, your opponent gains almost as much meter by blocking your trap as you do from trapping them, and you get no meter at all if you whiff. Oh, and Psimitar is useless as AAA, and the best defensive AAA you have available is equivalent to Zangief lariat assist.
Even if AHVB were the same, Cable would not be good.

Meh. To me, it’s worse to see a character that’s been nerfed to a shell of his former self, than to not see him at all.
