i understand where yall are coming from on the Vergil stuff about him just being another clone, but what about Ryu/Akuma , they put in 4 SF reps in this game, their essentially both the same but play differently, Vergil would be fine, just make him less like Dante and/or more like…Strider, IF they did NOT put Strider in, but if they do put Strider in make Vergil play like this:

Make him more of a Vertical Teleport Zoner, being able to control mid-screen alot like
Think of him as an Air Happy Version of Dante

Command Movement
2 teleports
- corner of where ever back is too (back, back + S)
- in front and above your head (similar to dante being behind you, down, down + S)
Summoned Swords (could be a motion, could be a charge with S+A)
- He gets 5 , and they do 1k damage on hit
- a slow start up ground special (like Dante’s rockets),
- if they hit while surrounding him they’ll have very low hit stun and while opponent blocks/or gets hit by them they disappear 1 by 1 like Rose orbs, they only it once
- very low projectile durability, so they would get beat by ALOT of projectiles in the game, and so they wouldnt be abusable, but effective if used properly
- when thrown they should have enough hit stun, so you could follow up with a teleport into combo
- on release they would track fast, but move slow enough to avoid if opponent super jumped in the air
- able to release 1 at a time, or all together to rush in behind, if all 5 hit at the same time you earn a wall bounce
- can otg like dooms missiles, if you get a hard knockdown
- if he gets hit they disappear
- in the air you could release one during say a Yamato slice teleport cancel combo(Comboing this would be considered advanced like Magneto’s ROM, think of like back forward back forward H)
Beuwulf Combos
- from force edge normals, you would have to double tap buttons (commands such as: l,m,h xx ll,mm)
- once canceled into you can end combos with his flash kick leading into air combos
- in air youre able teleport cancel dive kicks for up to 5 hits (commands such as: down, down + S xx qcf + M)
- this tactic can only be done after a super jump, so basically it’ll have a height restriction
Force Edge
Mainly used for normals, has a stinger like Dante
- Devil Trigger OTG loops done with teleport cancels
- if timed correctly when coming out of Devil Trigger off the last otg you can launch into the air for long air combos
Yamato
Judgment cuts (qcb+L,M or H …strength determines placement on screen, would look like Dorms Blackhole)
- Very fast startup and recovery for zoning purposes,
- Strength placements would almost seem to cover Vergil like a quarter circle
- L version midscreen almost grounded
- M version above that
- H version almost directly above vergils head
Air Slice (qcf + L,M, or H…strength determines placement/distance on screen)
- fast startup
- in air you can teleport cancel consecutively
Cross Slash (reverse dp motion + L,M, or H Vergil charges at you with a slash attack, think wolverine berserker slash)
- Can be charged for small power boost (hold button)
- L, M, and versions stops in front of you with short,mid, and far ranges
- H version crosses up only when fully charged,
- H version could have invincibility?
- All versions can be teleport cancelled?
Hypers:
Level 1: Devil Trigger- with boosts similar to Dante’s
Level 1: Judgement Slices- only hit’s whats ON screen, like Okami Shuffle, and hits weak and more random like Wesker’s Phantom Dance (Maximum Wesker)
Level 3: An air version similar to Dante’s Devil Must Die combo but with Yamato
Assists:
A) 3 Summoned Swords -like doom rocks/Task’s arrows w/ more hitstun, doesnt track
B) Judgment Cut -a more anti-air version of Dorm’s Black hole
C) Cross Slice -mid ranged sword swipe
Notes:
When in X-Factor and Devil Trigger, he looks like Nero. No new moves though just appearance change.
