Ugh, I know he wasn’t easy to win with. I never it was easy to win with him, just that AHVB x3 was easy. Obviously you have to open them up first. I colloquially used the spam to describe the process of HYPER… HYPER… HYPER… which was a boring as shit way to end a match in MVC2. I’m really hoping this is going to be a DLC/Disc release like AE. I’d hate to have to go buy a new game, especially if it’s called SMVC3, because that shit is dumb. Call it Hyper or just update through DLC and keep the normal title.
Then again, I’m gonna have to get a new copy of MVC3 soon anyway. Mine has a tiny, mysterious crack right in the center of the disc. I’m afraid to even play it, so I’m gonna get rusty in the meantime.

huh?? the only game in the series were he wasn’t retarded was MvC2 honestly
while that is true, it also true that more than half the cast didnt have answer to the following:
-holding downback
-holding upback
-commando assist
-random charcter/doom assist/commando assist
-hell, pretty much every anti air in the game.
most the cast were pretty much insufficient. they pretty much fixed that in mvc3 by allowing most characters a combo-able overhead or command throw or something of the like. its not just the fact that cable could keep them out, but that even if they got in, what could they threaten with? a throw??? good luck not getting blown up by an assist for trying that.
assist call rate was also much too great in mvc2, benefitting cable alot. this was changed as well. characters would enter, control, leave, COME RIGHT BACK THE FUCK IN FOR MORE CONTROL. i mean thats kind of bullshit.
oh yeah and alot of characters had no way too control their super jump movement, so again, locking with cable became easy because you’d know exactly where they’d be.

who cares if cable’s main power was simple to learn? He was the character where you need to input the most amount of intelligence. You have to learn how to control the screen, even against your counters (mags, strider, spiral). It was all about patience, baiting outs. He was very strategic at point.
One of the best beamers ever designed by capcom. He should return, because he made a huge mark on the series. The godtier, and strider should be complete.
I have never seen a MvC1 tier before, but Wolverine in that game is cheap but nowhere near as cheap as Chun-Li and Strider. Gambit can do more broken crap in that game too, while Wolverine has bad matchups against Megaman, Ryu and even Captain America (who can outzone him easily). But he’s probably god tier in the earier VS games.
You need more intelligence to use Doom and Gambit, these 2 are my pick for the best beamers ever designed by Capcom. Cable is just the most broken beamer ever designed by Capcom, you need intelligence to win tournaments with him but I fail to see anything brilliant about his design, anything that hasn’t been done before by Cyclops and other characters. With keep away nerfed so badly in this game he’ll just be some low tier character in this game that no one cares about. All they need is to fix Chris and make his keep away game more viable, and there’s no need for a Cable in this game.
