I’m not agreeing with you whatsoever so I don’t understand why you would believe I agree with you, I only posted that comment on the X-Factor just for kicks, not because I believe you are right, because you aren’t. X-Factor is a piece of trash universal option, plain and simple. If enough people bitched about it, Capcom may actually take it into thought (Look at T4 to T5 for an example, yeah, different company but the dislikes definitely changed their way of thinking going into T5), considering the competitive community is looked at by Capcom as well. As I’ve said, I don’t like it, I don’t want it in the next MvC game, that much is fact. Whether its wishful thinking or not, I’m voicing how much displeasure I feel for their *highly thoughtful *system option that should never have been in this series to begin with.
Having you get hit and losing the shitty XF option would be great. Some characters whom are too fast? Tone their speed down slightly when they are in XF, I’m pretty sure some characters would get some sort of nerf in this category, and even then it still doesn’t take away that if you get hit once you lose it, so they would have to play basically flawless to maintain the option. If you tone the timer, speed, damage all together + the you get hit and you lose XF would be much better. Because then if an opponent is within XF you wouldn’t significantly change your options when you are winning and controlling the match up and it would at least put you at ease knowing that you can eliminate this if you hit him once.
Again, I’m still hoping Sagat makes the cut, would like to see Dimitri in a Marvel vs Series as well, not to mention a Monster Hunter character or two. Possibly have Two versions, one Male in Rathalos Armor wielding a Great Sword and a Female in Rathalos Armor wielding Lance. That way you can basically put in two new characters from a franchise with two completely different game play styles. Seriously, someone from MH needs to make the cut for MvC3.
I’m primarily in agreement with Nick here. If they can somehow limit the ludicrous window of opportunity on OTG’s, the addition of tech rolls and fixing some of those appauling, god awful hitboxes, we’d be off to a damned good competent start.
Naturally, the COMPLETE removal of X-factor Level 3 and reworking some of D.Phoenix’s move set would also be well received here.
jump-in “peoples elbow” grounds series into air series into air tiger uppercut into j.S land then do tiger knee OTG into Tiger Annihilation DHC into “RYYUUUUUU!!!”
Screw it, i think gill should be the phoenix for the capcom side.
It’d be fascinating to say the least, we’d have someone more broken than phoenix.
Give him an ice throw from one side that does the same thing as magnetos throw along with his wing super thing, with the same area of coverage as arthurs level 3.
5 hyper bar revival.
super Rage vs Capcom 3.
lets see wolverine dive kick into that.
Probably not as much of a nerf as you think it is. Most characters only actually care about one of those. Still, it makes the mechanic a little more interesting. I don’t think Capcom would go for it, though, because it adds yet another layer of menu-fu to do before a match.
I feel like I haven’t seen any non-phoenix level 3 x-factor blowups lately. Is this even still a thing worth worrying about?
tried google translate…its gibberish…but if im translating my gibberish properly:
hes been working harder than usual on something, and …
either hes not making it to E3
Or they won’t have some title update ready for E3.
thats what i managed…hopefully someone can translate for reals…
Adding on your idea, I was thinking that maybe that the buff could be “context sensitive”, so that players can weigh options mid-match. Sort of how a gold and blue burst are different and used in different situations. Something like if you x-factor in blockstun you get no chip/regen, if you do it in a combo you get a cancel, and if you just just do it in the open, you might benefit from a speed or strength buff (probably character specific and hopefully toned down from the craziness that is level 2 and 3 x-factor).
I like the idea of it ending if you get hit. But honestly I would rather have X-Factor 1 stay the same pretty much, but have X-Factor 2 and 3 time literally cut in HALF, and power and speed reduced by 20%. It’s virtually impossible to out camp XF3 which is dumb and the chip (power) is way too high for such a long period of time. With enough bar, Akuma can just chip you out in XF3 even if you block EVERYTHING. Nonsense.
