I think any so called “planned” dlc chars has been pushbacked into the SMvC3 update.
Speaking of Doc Ock, Capcom should make him a grappler with range, a grappler that for once would actually work in a vs game.
(And it could, since Ock char would be made from scratch and wouldn’t be bound to an existing move repotiore i.e. Zangief, Alex)
Alex was incredibly good and solid in TvC.
I’d love to see Ghost Rider for some reason. I’m not even a fan of the character, but something about him just seems right for this game.
I agree, I don’t know much about competitive play in TVC but he was awesome fun to play as. Comboing into air Hyper Bombs was great. They just need to fix his voice back to the 3S one (‘At ease, losah…’).
Also bring back Frank West, although that seems like a given since they apparantly had him nearly finished for vanilla MVC3 didn’t they?

Yeah, Frank is almost guaranteed if he just has online kinks to work out. Hopefully they’ll overhaul online completely as part of the solution. Considering there was some residual Doc Ock data on the disc he seems the next most likely (the lack of Spiderman universe representation was pretty surprising after all). Megaman, Strider, Wright are up next due to sheer popularity (assuming the polls are a factor). From there on it’s anyone’s game. Ought to be a few surprise on the Marvel side as long as Lupinko doesn’t ruin it.

I didn’t ran the SRK poll for nothing :lol: , and to be honest I was pretty content with the results of the SRK one.
Didn’t at one point they say that they had a working version of Emma Frost but she got scrapped or something like that? She would be awesome and if I’m remembering correctly wouldn’t require as much effort as a brand new character. Unless, of course, I’m just crazy and they never said that at all, OR there was some reason they scrapped her that would require way to much effort to get passed.
OH MY GOD. If emma frost is in, holy shit. That would be awesome. Telepathy, telekinesis and that diamond form will come in handy.
Some Mugenized version of Emma Frost had a telephaty/telekineses (normal) mode and a diamond form (that could be reached through a hyper combo)
The 1st form made her a zoning character while the 2nd made her a grappler, the idea was pretty intresting tbh.

I had a huge suspicion that this was true. First the low sales, then Capcom Europe saying MvC3 is done, no patches since the infinite removal, no costumes, etc. It seems to me that they’d use the update opportunity to do it all in one game to help make some money back.
On the content side of things, I don’t really mind that they do that, but balance-wise, they are handling it all wrong. Look at what Netherrealm is doing. They are actively fixing what’s wrong with the game as it goes on, and they come out to events to see what the players are up to. MvC3 team doesn’t do that at all. In fact we don’t know wtf they are doing, planning, whatever the fuck.
I just remember Seth Killian was at SDCC and said “Nope, she’s deconfirmed” and that was it.
I’m willing to bet though that she was supposed to be in the game, and then they put Jean later in development instead.
Besides, I hate Emma so much. Fuck that bitch.
You know speaking of characters they might have removed I heard they wanted Juggernaut but took him out in favor of Sent. Can any confirm that or am I just misremembering something.
