Not to mention the netcode is in severe need of an overhaul, when it’s almost as bad as KoF '98 in some cases there is a serious problem…
I also think they can sneak in some extra characters through clever alt costumes or recycling. I would play Punisher with a very slightly altered Chris moveset for example. Kind of like Venom/Carnage or War Machine/Gold War Machine in MvC1. It’s a quick lazy way to increase the roster, but might still lead to some interesting matchups and new tactics.

If they didn’t include Gene, I actually wouldn’t mind Elvis being in there. Would much prefer Gene though obviously.
@killer_jigglypuff - The end credits theme is awesome, but I thought the lyrics would get lost in the action. All the songs are fine choices though.
Anyone think a Killer 7 character would work? I didn’t actually enjoy that game all that much, but it would be cool to see a character from there (somehow work in Harmen with all the 7 identities)
I would have loved to see a relatively obscure Street Fighter character in this game. I remember before it came out there was jokes about Capcom bringing back someone who was always low-tier for this game and making them borderline broken for this game. Like making Birdie or Q the be-all-end-all for MVC3. Now that there are already 3 SF characters I don’t see that happening though, unless they increase the roster by a good amount.
Considering they’d probably cut off the lyrics, I think the God Hand mode theme would be much cooler.
