If vergil were to be in, it would be awesome. Using the yamato, beowulf and summoned swords will be too awesome. Though i’m hoping that he will appear in his corrupted form, meaning that his devil trigger will be Nelo Angelo.
Heck you can just make it a level 3 hyper and he will get a new/powered up movesets like dark phoenix, but just weaker than dP and lasts only for a few seconds like jills level 3.
I don’t think it’s much of an issue as it is a hassle. It’s not like Moto Kikaku is openly against Strider being in Marvel, Capcom probably just didn’t want to go through the legal work.

Virgil would only appear in his DMC3 model, so his DT would likely be a palette swap of Dante’s DT. It would also cut dev time.

In the case this happens, I’d like to see more characters that change the way you approach a match - kinda how Phoenix does.
For example, they add Cloak & Dagger as one character that consumes two spots on the team. Only one fights as at a time, but you’d get free safe tag outs, ground exchange combos and maybe a few other things. The drawback? Maybe they share the same health bar and only build half the meter a normal character would.
Other than that I’d like to see some Marvel characters from alternate universes. It can easily fit into the storyline of the game. So instead of Cyclops and Gambit, include Basilisk and Age of X Gambit. Nice way to keep things fresh while still using characters people want to see.

The first time I heard someone saying that Songbird would be good DLC, I was like, “Who the hell is Songbird?”
After looking her up, I want her as DLC. Bad.
It’s basically how I felt about Taskmaster.
It would be nice if the next wave of DLC had some more obscure characters. I don’t want to see more X-Men and Street Fighters. And the Jill/Shuma DLC was pretty uninspiring.
My top pick for Capcom DLC would easily be Regina from Dino Crisis.
Or maybe they’ll offer up Rebecca Chambers for DLC, though she’d be totally worthless and could be downloaded for free.
Mega Man X would be perfect. He has plenty to offer for variety. The only weakness to his character design would be his normals/melee attacks. They could make it work. I wan’t Sigma AND X to support a full X Series team XD. Zero made me piss my pants already, X and Sigma would just release the load ;).

If you are talking to me, you are being a troll. I was just talking about what characters I want and don’t want. I am glad it’s the favorite of someone else but those are just my wants. Nothing hypocritical about that at all. The whole point of a thread like this is speculative discussion. That I contributed.
