Low Tier Teams VS. Top Tier Teams

Yeah the thought of it being a little similar to tron crossed my mind, but just not that good. When i used to use Samurai a lot, his Star throw worked for me and one of the better non-beam projectile assists in my opinion.

Maybe if the chop lasted a little longer and sam ran forward while doing it, but just standing in place for too long a period like that(if didn’t connect and thus leaving him out there for nothing) seemed too risky for punishment.

err, you do know his ninja star can be beaten by jabs right? so all I have to do is throw something @ it and its gone. Normals or assists will beat it clean. Its one of the weaker projectiles in the game for a reason. Fuck the chip damage it does if it can’t even make it over there.

soomighty played mag\spiral with that spiral assist that does those multi punches. Basically, anytime spiral made contact, it was free multi layered offense because of her constant stun. hi\lo repeatedly is not your friend. Its the same for silsam multi slash assist.

whats this crap about if it didn’t connect? why the hell would you just throw it out there? you have to set that shit up properly. Any assist that isn’t used properly is going to get fucked up. Regardless if its sent drones or silsam multi layered assist.

if theres one character in the game that hangs out WAYYY too long as an assist its doom. The key to using doom on your team is to PROPERLY LAYER him to abuse his block\chip and RELAYER to get him out safefly. If you all you do is spam him out for the sake of throwing him out, you’re going to get him killed with the quickness.

Servbot/Spiral ground assist semi infinite ftw! (really REALLY semi-infinite)

Tron makes every character almost better by default. Since low tiers really have no significant advantage over tops, they need damage output and tron provides that and some low tier characters 100x better with tron than they are with any other character in the game including tops.

Just like strider. Strider only really gets along with doom that allows him to function properly. You really can’t put on him on any other team and expect him to be able to function properly. The same for certain low tiers.

Morrigan ron is by far rediculous rush down wise. Its just as bad as magneto but take tron out of the picture, and her relayers don’t work right. She can’t wiff cancel free 50\50, she can barely 50\50 w\o her. With tron, she gets double or triple layer BACK into a tron rep. VS top tiers this is what you need because top tiers are cheap enough already.

Spidey ron becomes almost impossible to block and gets more random than anything in the game. All of spidey’s normals crossup and if you call tron, your basically forcing the game to pick a side to land a hit on. The game just doesn’t know where to put him. After you land your hit from FSD with c.lk, c.mk, free triple option. From that you can tick throw+tron, instant overhead into tron, xup into tron. If any of those follow up hits, do the same FSD into the triple option. Rinse wash repeat. Take tron out of spidey’s picture and he can barely relayer into overheads. Tron adds that block stun time unlike anyother character for spidey. Not to mention, the way her rings slide the point back can only create more random xups for spidey @ any point.

These 2 characters can sparkle offensively with tron but not w\o her. Morrigan\gambit is ok but its nothing like morrigan ron. Just like strider\doom, certain characters are only competitively playable with tron. Its not like strider\sent is any good and strider ron is a 1 time gimmick @ best. Just the way doom interacts with strider makes for the perfect combination for strider to become effective and it can be said for lowtiers with tron. There are just certain tron combinations that bring out the most potential in character just like doom does for strider.

Tron is extemely flexible as an assist because of her damage output and blockstun. 2 things that low tiers greatly need in a fight against tops that kill you in 1 hit. Whats the point of playing “fair” when the game is broken anyway? the game isn’t fair to begin with. tron lets more than 11 characters be truly playable. 20-30 characters actually become competitive playable because of her.

So sad,but true.

I don’t really play venom but i’ve seen him action quite a few times. Don’t ever put him 2nd though because his dhcs IN don’t do any life. iirc, its like 20-30% for a dhc? fuck that weak crap. However, he is an awesome battery so you can build a team around that concept.

Ok but it is still a decent projectile and assist, not the best but still decent. To add to this samurai is not a commonly picked character for whatever reason, so many don’t realize the star can be knocked out like that.

Also i think jill’s zombie animals can be taken out with a reg.hit too, but that does not invalidate their uses as a projectile either.

Maybe in a perfect world when everything goes according to plan, otherwise no there are times when it won’t connect, or it will and they’ll just block and proceed to punish if your not quick enough to defend it.

I prefer my assists to not stay out there that long in cases when that occurs.

Doom AA assist is leagues better than samurai’s chop so i’m not sure what the comparison is there.

Silver Samurai’s slashes (A) assist is comparable to a poor version of Spiral’s arms assist, it works nicely with Rogue, Tron, etc.

I haven’t seen any good way to use Sam’s projectile assist that isn’t done a lot better by some other assist. Besides the A counter (slashes) is better too…

Because i don’t throw tantrums in threads like that, nor do i try to force my beliefs down the throats of others like shoultzula was trying to do to me.

For example i greatly prefer AA assist for Cyclops. If someone here posts claiming to favor projectile thats fine, i’m not going to pull a “shoultzula” and go apeshit on them just because they don’t share my opinion on the issue.

Probably the reason shoultzula ceased his argument on the subject was because he realized how foolish he has been acting.

OMG, the damage this team does is retarded! Even with one meter; 1 meter can do about 60-70% damage on cable. If you have 2 you can easily kill cable. There is also a 100% damage DHC vs sent. :lovin:
