Oh I won’t argue with that. Japan’s known for a lot of weird/lewd/violent films. I will say that this isn’t representative of mainstream Japan as a whole, though. Even the Battle Royale novel(that the movie’s based off of) had a lot of vocal critics due to its violent subject matter involving middle school kids.
I will say this, though. The Japanese government has some very warped(stupid) laws and views regarding morality in the media. Animation, comics and video games are getting heavily regulated by getting censored or outright banned for lewd/violent content, but live-action movies and novels get little to no such treatment. The Japanese porn industry is also so morally bankrupt that they make porn in any other country look like Step by Step.
I’m getting way too off course, though. I’ll save the rest of that rant for another time.

The Lost City. Cuban Revolution with Che Guevara and Fidel Castro. His Brother, the revolutionary had a coolass name: Pelligro.
Kind of lost itself, Andy Garcia star and directing, for some reason Bill Murray was in there doing nothing. Yeah, watching this before City of God, probably not a good idea. Unless to correlate and compare the better movie in the end.
