Yeah I think Akrid hunter and co-op is where I will spend most of my time.

I’ve never been a huge fan of LP deathmatch. The system just feels to clunky to play deathmatch well. Akrid Hunter is the shit though.
LP2 deathmatch isn’t prolly my thing, I’ll go triggerhappy with co-op and Akrid Hunter instead :wgrin:
Whats Akrid Hunter?
It’s a multiplayer mode where some players play as Akrid, such as, the big spider and the rolly Akrids, and the others hunt them down.
I don’t think the stun is significantly worse than in LP1. 90% of games in LP1/Colonies played with Shotgun as the starting weapon because the machine gun was so cheesy/frustrating to play with/against.

I’m glad to see that Capcom is finally getting the hype train going. It was getting lonely shouting about the game after every tiny little update.
Yeah the Machine gun stun is annoying, but I’m seeing it as less of a problem now. It stuns you enough that you can’t just toss free grenades and if you’re just out in the open, you’re in trouble, as you should be. If you’re near cover, the stun isn’t enough to prevent you to rolling to it, which is how you should play.
It seems to me you just want to avoid standoffs in general. If you come face to face with another player, instead of just trying to strafe and fire, you should retreat to cover, even if you have to take a few shots in the process. If he stops to throw a grenade while you run, THEN you can return fire in attempt to blow up his own grenade. Sure you may not get the kill but who cares, you lived and he died. And elimination is a shitty match mode anyway so it shouldn’t matter =P
Right after Gasa left, I finally got on a good team. I was able to sprint to the plasma rifle and my team basically spawn trapped the whole other team. Whenever they came out of their spawn, I’d nail them after their protection was gone. Then, everyone else would take them down fast. Only got 4 kills, but I was tied for first in kills because the match went fast. Fortunately, those 4 kills only came with 1 death (got 2nd place in deaths).
Edit: Went 10-1 when I had a good team backing me up. I’ve found that I’m definitely more of a support fighter and not a front-line fighter.
Edit 2: Yup, still hate the versus. I’m not going to play it anymore. Way too much bullshit. I know if I keep playing it, I’ll hate LP2 and cancel my pre-order. My opinion on LP2 has already been lowered quite a bit since the demo. I went from really excited to meh might not pick it up. I’m also burned out on the co-op demo as well. If they had just released the co-op demo a month before the game’s release, I’d be hyped as hell. Now, not so much. The only part of LP2 I’m looking forward to are the boss fights. The other stuff to get to them feels like pointless filler.

It’s hardly too late. Capcom will release more since they want a million downloads so they can give a meager amount of money to charity.
And Rocky I understand JGreen’s feelings. I’m actually less hype about the game too. Especially since the new demo is so limited. It just got old to me so I don’t even bother playing it. It’s now just a case of call me when the full game comes out. I don’t need to see any more videos or pictures since so much of LP2 is how you make your own experience with it. What good is looking at someone else’s fun in this case. I’m not learning anything new. :-/
I only played the Vs once and the Co-op a few times with Green and Rocky so I’m still hype for the game.

The preview mentions a last stand type of mode where you and a group of people take on giant akrids. Sounds fun as hell since this is my favorite part of the game.
One more month to go.
Someone mentioned Akrid Hunter mode, I don’t think its in LP2. I’d bet it returns as paid DLC later on, knowing Capcom.
