Lost Planet 2 is being updated online - this update will include various bug fixes, difficulty recalibration and extensive game balance tuning.

My friends and I rented two copies of this game hoping to play split-screen system link, but turns out that’s not even an option.
Fail to Capcom, and all the other companies that do this. I don’t see why it’d be so hard to implement system link split-screen when the game offers both.
GOOD SHIT. I hope the make the flamethrower better in MP, even if increasing the damage just a tad, same with Machine Gun SP. The dash speed increase makes alot of sense, I always thought it felt slow.

Why would you want to play it solo anyway, unless you really have NO OTHER option at all. That level especially is all about teamwork, way more enjoyable that way. When you play that level alone it feels like a chore, but when you play with people it’s one of the most fun episodes in the game
Yeah, I know how to beat it solo, but most people don’t. Plus, the level’s fun as hell coop, so I don’t mind helping others beat it at all. If I was running it solo for some reason, all you need to do is load the main cannon, rotate it to face backwards, then blast away with the turrets until the final shot.
Support Weapon attack combos from the Capcom forums:
Laser: This happenes when none of the combos below are used.(any support weapon)
Sword Slash: At least two people with gun swords have to support.(any shield)
Gaint flaming ball: The first supporter needs a heavy weapon equiped.(any V. device)

man i was playing 3-3 with my friend splitscreen on hard, and for some reason we had trouble beating him. so all you do is turn the cannon completely backwards and only fire it at the last shot? im assuming you turn the cannon backwards because that is where he will be for the last shot?
we should play some more again, still need ep 4 and 6 on hard. it is funny that we all hated ep4.

Yeah JGreen should have given that a title. He’s talking about the support weapon super attacks. When someone hits back+start/select+start while holding a support weapon the weapon transforms. From there you need one or more people to stand behind you and hit B to pose and charge the attack to a higher level. There are differ attacks however and that’s what we know about how to do them.
Tried out the new patch on Easy mode. Wow. The differences in damage for solo Easy runs is huge. For instance, the sentry guns (the ones that pop up) on 1-1’s drill level take a few plasma rifle shots to destroy. So you don’t even need to take out the post that powers the sentries. The little mech on the same mission also took a few plasma shots before being destroyed. Another noticeable change is your health recovery. Once you’re hit, it immediately starts to regenerate at a VERY high rate. I’m talking about almost as fast as if you held down the start button before the update. Finally, the run speed feels like it’s close to twice as fast.
Again, this was done on a solo easy run. However, the new run speed is the same across the board.
Yeah, I tried that too (solo on easy mode) on chap 1 and 2.
I am not sure about normal, hard and ext. modes, but the game felt REALLY-broken easy.
I trashed the “Queen” boss (lake thing in 1-2) in less than 2 min without the help of the AI.
(just using shotgun). …it didn’t even have the time to attack me, not even once! :wtf:
I hope the hard and ext mode haven’t been nerfed that much… I was clearing hard mode with a friend to take on Extreme as a challenge.
under the new patch, flame status drains health faster, and the more flames covering your body the quicker it drains. To give an example, if your body is covered in flames, holding the harmonizer DOES NOT RECOVER HEALTH, it just stops it from falling. If you only have a small patch of flame on you then it won’t affect it too much, but yeah flamethrower and incendiary are much more dangerous now.
Also, there are now graphical markers for control(not data) posts that need to be activated. The markers can be seen through walls as well

easy and normal weren’t just completely nerfed, ONLY nerfed on 1-player. Hard and Extreme are unchanged regardless of players
